Because Eddie Murphy was not in it and Robert is not funny I'm not even sure why he got the role maybe cuz he's a hot actor but he's not funny at all keep with Tony Stark cuz you're not funny nor do I see you animal lover it's kind of creepy

It was the single worst movie i have ever seen.
It was total crap. Downey was terrible in it. Every aspect of this movie was garbage. Even my 3 yr old fell asleep and didnt want to watch it again. And she loves animals! 1/10

Simple, unless RDJ is playing Iron Man, his films tend to flop unless they team him up with another big star RDJ cannot sell a movie by himself. He needs that suit, which is why he will probably return to the MCU eventually.
