its pretty straight forward and doesnt need to be explained. its explained in the show clearly enough. you even explianed it wrong. as in the show a man could get a baby or sack of potatoes. its not about not taking gold in the hope of something better, most peasants would take the money because they want food. and its not classed as a cost because its a gamble. you made it really complicated for no reason.

Law of surprise is like a Karma that you knit with someone when you have done something karmic ( Saving their life, betray, broken promise etc) with them. Its like you knit karma and then you are gonna pay for it.
