The History Of The One Ring From Lord Of The Rings Explained
video description
They had a choice to be more elf or man.
Elrond chose immortality with the Elves - their mother's people.
But Elros, who could've done the same, chose mortality with Men - their father's people.
And sure, Elros and the Numenorians were given extended lifespans, but they were still mortal, meaning they could presumably die from illness and definitely from old age - besides being killed.
Whereas elves only die from being killed or 'losing the will to live, ' is the best way I understand it.
I've read the main books and the Silmarillion, and from what I can tell, they say elves go to some kind of hall in the land of the gods, but they never specify what happens to Men when they die.
For me, that mystery is something I'd say would be interesting to find out - maybe even enough to choose mortality with the race of Men over immortality with the race of Elves.

Wish they would included Gil-Galad more in the movies. Since he was the last King of the Noldor elfs and basically he and and Elendiel defeated him but perished in the deed. And Isildur picking up Narsil cutting the ring of the hand of the on sauron who was basically defeated. Can only hope he is included in Amazons new series. Especially since he had such an inpact during several ages. The creation of Tolkien is so amazing. Creating a endless new world of fantasy which includes the best and the worst parts of the real world and people. Tolkien was truely a great writer with amazing vision, and understanding.

this movie can be ended instantly after they found the ring. just throw it in the larva in the first place.
call the eagle and go to the volcano. toss it into the larva and leave, everything is solved. the end.
doesn t have to have any wars or killings.
the writer just want to make a story or drama.

Thank you for showing the ring properly, the tails of the characters should point down. After 16years of making the ring for a once famous gallery, I actually had dreams about that thing. I figure I made about 5000 of them in brass. So they where magic, they'd turn your finger green in three days.

Sauron already had the ring and was defeated. Why did he want the ring back? The ring is a logic error. I contacted the Tolkien Society. Several emails have been written to me. But no one had an explanation, just speculation.

False, sauron creates 17 rings, not 19 or 20, the three of the elves were not crafted by sauron. Ok, if you continue to watch the video is just absolutely full of sometimes half truths, sometimes completely wrong info.

At the end of the day it's all personal preference but LOTR trilogy seems way better than SW, I mean the plot and details and the magnitude of very well done content is superior to me.

Love the books, love the movies - but I never liked the adaptation of the Eye perched on top of a tower like that. They reduced the Eye of Sauron to a beacon on a lighthouse.

The first half of this video was good, however the second half wasnt because you keep telling us what happen to Frodo and not stick to the origins of the ring itself.
