Vikings: Valhalla Release Date, Cast And Plot - What We Know So Far Fawn: I'm assuming the time jump will be more like 300-500 years, except jumping backwards in time instead of forward. With the main character list being Odin, Thor, Freya, Loki, etc. (Or there will be no time jump and the last lothbrok will die during the series finale, only to awaken in Valhalla with all the original cast (plus more) This way the flagship series followed not only Ragnar, but his children as well. While the spin-off will allow the writers to re-shine the spotlight on characters that were either killed off or written out of the original show) Thoughts everyone?

Love Vikings - Not interested in Valhalla or Netflix. a spin off set in 100 years in the future simply means - Not Vikings continued. Ragnar surviving the snake pit & being immune to the poison is always a possibility - but will they? Of course not. Clueless executives as usual believing loved characters are not important - Let's do a totally unconnected follow up instead. Personally - Bring back Firefly and reverse the travesty of ending it. Biggest mistake by clueless executives ever made.

The show was AMAZING but the ending was horrible. Battle was brief compared to the rest of the series. Felt rushed. Also so many loose ends like what the hell happened to Viserk? Ivar & the Russian king? Ubbe and Floki? Rollos character became non-existent. I think it needed like 3 more episodes to give the full closure. I'm going to give Valhalla a shot but I don't expect much. Will get my Viking fix with The Last Kingdom.

What I really want to see is a TV adaptation of Frans G. Bengtsson's The Long Ship. That's one story that can connect to the Vikings series by referring to the characters such as Ragnar, Ivar, and others as people from the days of myths and legends. Besides, Styrbjorn and the Jomsviking are in that story.

Rollo is greater than Ragnar in every way. Rollo beat Ragnar. Rollo proved to be a better leader and a better strategist than Ragnar. Rollo's ideas and plan saved France and Ragnar's ideas to invade France failed. Rollo beat in Ragner in combat as well. It was Ragner that left in defeat, not Rollo.

Haralda was defeated and killed at the battle by Stanford bridge, by an English army. And that army was defeated a few days after at the battle of Hastings. I can't wait to see that in Valhalla

Would be cool if it was actually in Valhalla with original cast Ragnar, Odin, thor, freida, Baldour etc just drinking mead and telling war stories which form the episodes

It can all happen when covid is gone from this world until then everything is halted and we never know when we could see our favourite series seasons in the coming futures

I stopped watching this when Ragnar fell into the pit
The only thing I have seen after are literally the short video clips and scenes provided by Youtube
