Netflix Nabs One Of The Decade's Most Underrated Sci-Fi Movies Juan: The problem with this movie is that it was advertised as a sci-fi movie, (like time-traveling or futuristic kind of setup) but in reality is way more deeper than that. In order to understand the movie people need to have some basic knowledge about buddhism philosophy, Hindu philosophy, and some knowledge about how karma and reincarnation works. If people don't have this basic knowledge of that kind of eastern spirituality and eastern philosophies it would be very hard for them to enjoy it (let alone understand it. So, no wonder why this movie was widely rejected by people in the U. S, because it deals with ideas that are pretty much strange for a western culture. Having said that, I don't believe the movie is some kind of religious movie at all, I think it's a beautiful movie with tons of spirituality elements that portray the journey of the soul so people could understand the basis of how our karma is being affected by our decisions and why we keep coming back into this world to keep shaping our soul by the choices and decisions we make and how every time we come back we achieve the spirituality we need to be really free in our minds and souls. I strongly recommend to have this ideas and spiritual elements in mind while watching the movie, not only you will understand it and enjoy it but it will become one of your favorites movies

Cloud Atlas is one of the most ambitious sci-fi movies ever made, and what an epic masterpiece it is. But it cant be expected, that everyone will enjoy such a complex story as Cloud Atlas. People that are mostly used to watch movies by Dwayne The Rock Johnson or Marvel movies, will not have the patience to get throught it, or be able to comprehend such a complex story of so many layers. Obviously those people will also deny that they didnt understand the story, and simply call out the movie out as garbage. What is a critic but one who reads quickly, arrogantly, but never wisely?

You probably don't like this movie if you lack patience, comprehension and general intelligence. Lol. Be triggered. but it's a pretty intriguing connection. Sensationalism is rampant, and same with Twitter culture. If some text is longer than 3 lines, a certain amount of people aren't even going to read it. Despite what it contains. To be blunt, people are becoming less intelligent.

Great book, great cast, great movie! Seeing each of these great actors in the different timelines gives you a true appreciation of their range and scope as performers! Not for everyone, especially if you like a linear plot, but super engaging! Ive read the book twice, and seen the movie probs 10 times!

If this took you more than one watching of this film to understand it, then that says more about your mental capacity than anything. Youre just used to being given a generic story line with visual effects to distract you from the weak af plot. Just saying.

Cloud Atlas is a great film, but I'm biased as some it was filmed in my home city of Edinburgh.
The Neo-Seoul stuff was amazing cinema!
A very underrated sci-fi gem of a film!

Underrated because any movie that only makes sense at the very end or when you watch it a second time feels like doing boring homework while watching paint dry.

Its incredible that the Wachowskys made only one GREAT movie, The Matrix, and their other films are not only not nearly as good, but way WAY inferior.
