I wish more people knew about how walkers are on this show. They are an ever present background antagonist that brings out the worst in the human characters. They aren't meant to be the main focus or threat on TWD, (even in Romero's films, they weren't the biggest focus, but they are still dangerous when you encounter them in hordes, or in close encounters. They aren't meant to be action-based zombies that we're used to in video games and modern movies, rather a sort of natural disaster that pose a more psychological effect on the people in their universe.

They are not called Zombies because they are Ghouls. A Ghoul is the creatures related to graveyards that consume human flesh whereas zombie is a reanimated creature or a person in an entranced state. Ghouls are believed to be humans who have been transformed. Zombies are dead people who had come back to life or have a resemblance to it under the control of some individual.

Brains decompose rather rapidly along with connective tissue holding bones together. I a warm climate the zombie apocalypse would be pretty short lived unless goo and bone can chase you down somehow. The walking dead should have ended in two years at best with the occasional need to stab a brain when someone dies. The herds would just be a smelly pile of goo in no time.

I don't like how they just make something up instead of saying we made a mistake or it was a work in progress when explaining things that didn't make sense early in the show. people forget things like using tools or gathering but how about the fact the walkers use to run? fresh zombies are smarter then why would someone who just recently turned not be as well?

I prefer movies like 28 days later with a virus taking control of your brain and making you violent as oppose to reanimated dead because it's a realistic possibility like rabies. google zombie deer they don't become violent but their brain and body waste away while they're still alive.

I miss in the 2010s how excited me and my family were for this show when it started. I was busy trying to get my Business Degree. No matter how busy I was I made time for this show on Sunday night. Sadly it is a shell of its former self that just won t die!

I wanna watch a tv-series in which lead role must be a normal good guy but later on turns into a big mafia. In other word life story of gangster. Their must be 4 to 5 season.
Can anyone suggest this kind of series?

The reason kirkman jokes about it being an alien spore is the only reason he pitched as a comic to do with aliens as zombies has been done too much so he had to say to executive that it was caused by an alien spore

The no fat people in twd is easily explained using zombieland, fat people were some of the first to get eaten by walkers as they wouldn't be able to outrun the walkers for long.

Technically Romero did explain the cause of the zombies in Night of the Living Dead, a space probe being radiated while travelling around Venus, and crashing into a cemetery.
