this was actually one of my main complaints about the direction of db franchise, to me gohan was always meant to be a bigger character and for some reason they benched him for the longest time. its hard to balance the two characters and i get that, but gohan just inexplicably became a weakling and it just urked me. glad to see hes back, curious to see where he will go from here

Hey, remember all of those other worldly battles against Godlike monsters that Vegeta and Goku have fought? Yeah, Gohan only needs androids to match that. Instead of using his intellect and power to help Bulma make the z fighters strong enough to fend for themselves, Gohan gets random power ups from chilling for too long.

The 1st clue about Gohan's power, was when he was a kid and was kidnapped by Radditz.
Gohan was in Radditz transport pod, and Gohan broke out of it. That transport pod can withstand atmosphere entry and crash impacts. But kid Gohan broke through it like paper and hit Radditz just as hard as Goku or Piccolo.

Honestly super is so sloppy with character names, forms & move set. They are really milking what they can do with Super as franchise. Should of kept it Great Ape >> SSJ3 & then god mode that s cool all these new forms for Gohan & Piccolo is just dumb + the names.

If Akira toryiama was smart, this form should have been about Gohan being a kai.
You can't say it's beast, Akira toryiama forgot they have tails so they can't transform to great ape, gotta love gt giving Goku his tail back

Nothing is needed to be explained, just another dumb recolor that's not gonna mean anything eventually cause before you know it yet another lame recolor will come out that's supposed to surpass this crap.

Vegeta and Goku's god forms dont make sense, because their god ki forms had a hard time defeating normal ki characters.
e. g. Tournament of power.
God ki have been totally useless.

compared how they showed the first time transformation of Ultra Instict Goku in DBS, Gohans transformation is in my opinion a huge downgrade. not a fan of the way they animated it.
