Ortegas is the best character, the writers fave her that gallows humor and the actress really knows how to sell it. My choice for a returning character - Matt Decker. Most likely classic trope - a computer as the villain, a la The Ultimate Computer which also turned the Enterprise itself in to the villain. It's too cool to not do.
