I don't think those claimed by the cenobites in the 2022 version are in Hell. I think they are tortured until they die. Pinhead specifically tells Nora that she's going to Feel it all (all the pain a body can) before they're through which would suggest the torture would end - when they are through. And it appears that they kill her. Pinhead also says that Riley's brother's end was exquisite which again implies an END. If her brother were being tortured, you'd think Pinhead would mention that to get her to choose resurrection - bc clearly that's what they wanted.

I see also that Voight is a reference to the 'French' aristocrat at the beginning of Hellraiser: Bloodline in regards to desire for power, though closer to Channard. If you look closely in H4, when De L'isle is tied up and close to death, his mouth is trapped by a line of barbed wire and piercing his skin like a Chelsea grin. this is referenced in the design of Voight as a cenobite where there is a ripping of skin around his mouth to imitate the grin.

It wasn't a very good film, if you didn't see what was going on with Trevor then there is no helping you. The voices in film all sounded like they had been recorded in a studio and had no depth to them at all, no environmental chanage to them just, studio voice over sound. Really enjoyed pin head, she did really well, and the other cenobites were ok.

The original hellraiser by far one of the scariest things I've ever watched. Literally gave me nightmares. This they tried way too hard. Tried to modernize it and it just wasn't working. Nowhere near as scary or really messed with your mind. Yeah let's start leaving things well enough alone!

I like that they didn't do the bit with Riley sending the Cenobites back to hell like how Kirsty did in the original. But I also love the irony where Voight warned Riley about how the Cenobites only rewards with pain yet he exchanges one gift for a new one.

The problem with the latest movie is they keep helding back the gore.
I understood when Hulu did it on Prey as it has the same amount of gore in the first Predator movie but this is Hellraiser, should've gone all out otherwise what's point.

I've watched, all kinds of videos your definitely not supposed to watch, but the ending with Voidt is pretty intense to see. I can't even really say exactly why, but what's going down + his weird fear/awe of it is just intense.

Just couldn t show the mother as was intend because it was too much! It s Hellraiser. I have a lot of grief about this adaptation I think they lost something by making it less visceral. Where are the little monster that create cenobites?

Well directed, well acted. But I wish the cenobites' design/dress was closer to that of the first two films- these ones looked like they belonged in a Resident Evil sequel. It did not improve on the original look and design, IMO.

You didn t miss anything. The movie was boring. There is no gore. The bit of blood that in it was lame. The cinobites looks lame and not real. Not scary and to top it all off the acting if the main character is cringe

. Both survive the ordeal, but have to live with the loss they're endured thanks to the scheming people in their lives.
Uh, in both movies, did anybody GIVE/FORCE them the box, or did they just take it?

I noticed that they made up whole new rules for the lament configuration. Seemed like something someone who didn t read or watch the original source materials would make
