AlienLife: The fact that Sam didn t get corrupted by the ring in any way was a mistake in my eyes. And a rather bad one. I mean we had characters like Gandalf and Galadriel who were terrified that they could be corrupted but Sam is the only guy who can resist it? Yeah right. A rare but GLARING mistake on the part of Tolkien. Sam should have been corrupted but come to realize that his commitment to Frodo and their friendship is bigger. Date: 2022-10-18
