I love the show.
I only have two complaints.
It's not a Laugh Track it's a live crowd.
1. The crowd doesn't feel like a crowd it feels like a laugh track telling you when to laugh, like I'll legitimately be dieing of laughter sometimes when the crowd either isn't laughing or barely reacted for how funny something was. Or they feel like they're overreacting to a joke that really doesn't hit at times.
And 2. The show wasn't long enough, I don't care about people's reasons for shows being shorter now shows that rely on characters need WAY more time to get you to really love them-of course I've watched it about 2 times through but on first watch through I didn't love the characters like I did with That 70s shows first season. They should double the length of season if they really want to grip people and maybe broaden people's terrible attention spans a little bit.
By the way I LOVED the laugh track in how I met your father because it wasn't over utilized.

One episode in. My daughter actually commented on the Laugh Track. It's just not a thing these days I guess. While I dont like them either I grew up with them, so it's not that hard for me to just tune it out. The young cast is ok but I've only laughed in parts dealing with the original cast. Mostly because of nastalgic reasons, which was intentional. Like I said, only one episode in, so I'm willing to give it go. I am hoping that things get a little less awkward with the young cast. Just some of their parts came off weird imo.

Love the show but the kids ages are iffy. Leia turns 15 in 1995 and Eric came home on Jan 31 1979. So Donna had to get pregnant right away and she would have been a preemie. Jay Kelso is also 15 but a few months older according to their character bios. So Jackie would have to have been pregnant with him before the series finale. Best bet is she and Kelso did do it at the hotel before Hyde arrived and was pregnant while with Fez which might explain why Fez said she was calling Michael while at Hedonism.

Every time the original That 70's Show was filmed it was always done with a live studio audience watching it be filmed just like they did with The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and Married With Children.
With some of the jokes you could see the actors having to wait for the audience to stop laughing before their next lines but when a show uses a laugh track that does not happen.
So, have they stopped using a live audience when filming, or are they actually using a laugh track instead now?

I m knocked out the show today all in once it was great. Who cares about the laugh track look if there s ever anything they complain about. There s one thing they cannot get away with. It s not believable that her grandparents actually had a Super Nintendo in 95 the biggest cheapskates ever did not have that then if you pause it ur see it but it was a great show everything you loved about that 70s show and especially if you re a 90s kid you re gonna love it can t wait for season 2

I don't have a problem with laughing tracks but these modern shows go too hard with it compared to shows pre Big Bang Theory. The majority of the jokes in that 90s shows are not funny maybe that's why it stands out so much as well. I'm convinced that someone poorly edited two different versions of a scene because some character's call and response don't make coherent sense. It's like they are reacting or responding to a different line than what we hear.

I can't do this laugh track. It's not that it's a laugh track. It's the wrong laugh types for certain jokes, it's overused, and by the 7th episode I was done with it. I have more issues with the show, but the laugh track ruined it for me. It just doesn't seem to fit the show. Maybe they need another type of laugh track. Maybe turn the volume down on it a bit. I don't know what the answer is, but this is one laugh track that didn't work for me.

OMG really! people complaining about the laugh track? I remember shows from the 90s that had laugh track specifically FULL HOUSE which I used to watch. I LOVE That 70's Show, I actually own the complete series on DVD and I have to admit that after watching the first 4 episodes I'm digging it, I feel the vibes of actual continuation from the original and even though I'm still getting used to the new kids Eric and Donna's kid is great!

I had 2 issues: the woke gay character is an over the too caricature. Also- as the child of a white woman married to a black man for a couple decades- i dont like that, as with hyde, the biracial character is the offspring of por white trash who banged a random black guy. Its a stereotype and it is offensive. Otherwise- the show is ok- has potential to be good if they ease up just a bit. Not every line has to be a joke.

The laugh track here is similar to Nickelodeon shows in the 2000s, forced and completely out of touch. But That 90s Show itself is forced and flat, with Topher Grace and Laura Prepon look like they are onboard with it just for the big paycheck. I'm really hoping this installment finds its ground and takes off because it'll be a huge disappointment if it doesn't.

The new version of Night Court uses a laugh track as well, probably for the same nostalgic reason that That '90s Show does. However IMHO it's less intrusive on That '90s Show so it does not bother me as much. That said I think gradually getting rid of it or at least reducing it like MASH did so many years ago would make it even more enjoyable.

Perhaps the last track is for a certain range of viewers, especially those that are over the age of let s say 30. I know that I for one don t mind it and even appreciate it in some shows. I do understand why some may not care for it as it can come off a bit cheesy end contrived. Also, I do understand why they decided to use it on that 90 show.

i don t like how they changed it to nothing but girls and a gay dude. like bro i am not trying to watch a gay guy hit on dudes and im not trying to watch unfunny girls say unfunny jokes. the guys aren t funny either I love the original the world is to soft now. if there isn t something gay in it now a days then it s not inclusive

The 'laugh track' was fine. But the writing was poor. And Kitty suggesting that Leo might be a pedo was a massive show of disrespect. Both to the original show and to anyone who has the audacity to have friends in different age groups.
Very poor writing indeed from people who have ugly, cynical minds which dwell in the gutter.
