Once Godzilla was killed, it should have stayed dead to make the movie more believable. Not to regenerate and come back to life. That's kind of like michael myers or even jason Vorhees From friday the thirteenth that's not a normal Godzilla. Making the monster come back to life does not make sense. That's what ruins the movie. If there was going to be a sequel they should have made it Like there's another one out there Unnoticed That they think the war is over. But there is another one and they have no idea.
That kind of concept.
Would have been good for a sequel. These movies should be made more believable. And about the monster regenerating? That's also like one of the Resident Evil games. The part does not make sense You might not like the criticism.
But that's a way of knowing how to make a good movie.
The actors were good.
In the movie. But the movie should be made more believable. Think of the goodzilla movie that was made in New York. When Godzilla was killed, it did not come back to life. Somehow another baby survived unnoticed by people. But it was only one baby that survived.
They were all blown to pieces, but once survived.
That's what it what a believable movie would look like.
And the other ones did not come back to lifeor regenerate.

Oh no, it's not radiation poisoning. The director is obviously a huge Godzilla fan. G-Cells was once a really important plot point that was a way to include all types of crazy ideas. Also! He has said that Shin Godzilla was an inspiration and that he wanted to adapt the horror esque style of Godzilla. In the last frame of Shin you see humanoids mutating from Godzillas tail. A clever foreshadowing to a sequel that never came to be. How about if she was infected with either G-Cells or some type of virus that is slowly turning her into something? Minus One is the most realistic depiction of the monster yet, people die in that movie like flies. There is no way that she should be any different and survive a blast from Godzilla. Her being infected, potentially gaining some superhuman strength from it would explain as to why she is even alive.
It's definetly not radiation poisoning. These fellas have way more exciting stuff to do in the upcoming movies.

Making it hard to be killed in the movie. I understand it that makes sense, but regenerating does not make sense. Making it a long movie makes sense, but at the end of the monster has to die
And not come back to life That makes the movie more believable. And real life with a meeting and dinosaur was blown to pieces, it would not regenerate.
Not even people that get blown to pieces
Would regenerate They should have made it like somehow. There was another Godzilla Somewhere out the people think that the war is over. Or that was safe to say that it's over, but there was another 1.

I absolutely love this movie. And while I ll take as much Godzilla as I can get but I wonder what could they do with a sequel? This godzilla would not work as an antihero. So he isn t going to be protecting humanity against other Kaiju and the idea of other hero Kaiju being introduced to fight Godzilla seem inconsistent with the mood of this film. Godzilla vs Japan could feel like a retread. Again I d love more godzilla but how could you do a fresh sequel on Minus One s take on Godzilla?

best godzilla movie ever, best movie of 2023. This is one of those few movies where the box office revenue doesn't tank after the opening weekend but only grows through word of mouth. Everyone should go see it on the big screen. Not mentioned here but the sound design/score are REALLY good too

Eh wasn t that impressed. It was too much about a guy with a guilt trip. Godzilla was treated like a nuisance bear. It was good, especially for a 15 million dollar budget but don t see what the hype was.

I think people are resonating with this Godzilla movie because it stays more in line with the Godzilla origin of being a giant terrifying lizard thats wreaks havoc on humanity.

What s most amazing about Godzilla Minus One is that this film was made on a budget of 15 million and it s already grossed nearly 50 million worldwide

Prediction: Norikos health is linked to Godzilla with her infection of G-cells radiation. She heals as G heals but if they kill him it would kill her

The only Godzilla movie to instill me with a sense of fear and bring me to tears repeatedly. and I watched the original Gojira. Repeatedly

Spend your damn money and go experience this film the way you must, with junk food, digital surround sound and a giant screen. Do it.

The piracy gods must truly not want to upset Japan as this is the only movie in years I haven't been able to get a hold of.
