Disagree with Beauty and the Beast and Hairspray. I cant believe they praised John Travoltas performance. While it wasnt awful, hes nowhere close to the performance that Harvey Fierstein gave in originating the role on Broadway. And I wish they would have cast a really talented singer as Belle. Emma Watson tries but she isnt a trained vocalist, with years of experience under her belt. Also, the movie spent way too long in the poor provincial town, to the point that it felt stale, when the original was cutting back and forth between Maurice traveling to the castle. Add to that the fact that they pad the story with no elements, like Belle being an inventor, that dont add to anything and never really come into play at any point in the story. She doesnt invent anything to try to help her escape the castle or help the Beast. The Beastis a jerk. Yeah, he was the pseudo villain in the first half of the animated movie but he had humanizing moments like when after he scares Belle out of the West Wing, we see a moment of regret on his face. In this version, he gives Belle the library, not because hes developing feelings for her but because he wants to show off his collection. Actually, I dont recall him actually giving the library to Bellethey just walk into the room. And having Emma Thompson sing the title song when you have Audra McDonald in your movie is just criminal. I dont care that Mrs. Potts sang it in the original version. You dont pay for Michael Jordan and then keep him on the bench in the big moment of the game.

But the leads they picked for these movies could. Not. Sing. Luke Evans can hands down! But emma Stone nope, Anna kendrick is ok, emma Watson nope, anne Hathaway not really strong in vocals they should've dupped her singing with someone who could sing. Her acting was best ever seen her do.

LOL this list is trash. The rent movie was a critical and public failure for a reason. 30 year olds singing about not wanting to pay their rent was laughable at the time. Beauty and the beast cast a lead that cant sing.

It's kind of a crazy coincidence that two of Ewan McGregor's characters from two different movies(Obi-Wan from Star Wars and Christian from Moulin Rouge)both had love interests named Satine who died in their arms.
