Why is everyone thinks its a reboot?
If it was a reboot then the original characters from the PBS series should of stayed the same including Phoebe, but i this is a Sequel for starters;
1. It took place a year after the original series ended since one of them mention a new school year.
2. Phoebe went back to her old school.
3. Professor Frizzle is now part of the end each episode answering a callers question focusing on the focused episode's Science theme.
And by the way whats with the hate on this show?
For me i think its still a good show regardless of the animation or the feel, just remember, The new series had a new animator and 2 almost the original voice cast didn't return by either grew up for not reprise their roles or either passed away or something like that but mainly grew up.

I don't want to judge this series before it comes out but I will agree that the animation does look lazy and there's one thing I don't understand:
Why is Miss Frizzle being replaced? She's the teacher! And she was the reason The Magic School Bus was enjoyable! It would have made more sense that this is a different school year and thus different students. Hell, that would have made some episodes easier for them because they could have just copy-pasted the story from the first part of certain episodes since she would take them on some of the same field trips but something different happens on the trip. And I don't think a lot of people would complain about the repetition since that would be believable as long as it wasn't too often.

For everyone that hates this cartoon, Valerie frizzle is voiced by Lily Tomlin, who is more than 70 years old, which means she might not be able to voice Valerie in the Rides Again. About the animation, the kids of the 2010's don't watch cartoon animations of the 90s, at least most of them. About Phoebe's replacement, there might be a similar reason with Valerie's. I personally like both the reboot and the original since I watched them. I'm not offending anyone with this comment, I'm politely expressing my personal opinion, because I had a look in the comments.

I've watched a few episodes and it's just as fun and educational as the original. I do have a few complaints, though. Switching Ms Frizzle with her sister (Are we sure she's not a clone) was rather pointless, as they both have the same personality. The kids' new designs are bland and don't stand out as much as the originals. The bus isn't as expressive as the original. The original, had a range of different facial expressions, while the new one has the same, stiff expression most of the time.

All animation industries need to stop making reboots of old cartoons that were legendary with something different that's way worse. Cartoons today aren't good anymore. Even Tom and Jerry sucks now. And if they touch one more, they'll never hear the end of it.

The Magic School Bus: Rides Again is absolute cringe and it is not The Magic School Bus that I grew up with and watched during snack time in Pre-Kindergarten, plus the only grudge I hold against the reboot is that it got rid of my favorite character, Phoebe.

ya, my main gripe with this is the animation style. I mean just compare the original to this. its sad that companies are choosing this sort of animation purely because its cheaper. I mean im not saying its gonna suck, but its definitely iffy

Why don't we SEE how the show is before we start jumping to conclusions. It's introducing a beloved show from the past to a new generation. I don't know what to think. I will always love the original, but the new one could be really neat too.

I know I can get use to the animation, but the kids are soo different they are almost like other characters! They would have been better off having a new class, especially since they are not all there!

If theyre going to reboot this then they might as well reboot Reading Rainbow. At least it taught kids that reading was cool instead of sitting on their Tablets all day & letting their brain rot.

the bus seems more 'bus-like'. It doesn't have a mouth this time (except in the final ep of S1) and it's more angular. I kind of like these changes, though.
