Everyone seems so pissed about the ending, but if you rewatch again or you could remember how madly and insanely in love Ted to Robbin and how Robbin always not that sure to be in relationship after she broke up with Ted gave a sign that they both could end up together. I love Barney and Robin together so much, but two of them are so independent and its not gonna work if the relationship will go for last. They have to balance each other with that Ted and Robin is totally more make sense. Beside, Robin and Barney learned a lot from their relationship and become a better person each one of them. Barney finally say the words that he thinks he couldnt say it to another person at the first place (his daughter) and Robin achieved her dreams.

Yeah, the same reactions of the kids were filmed but that's it. Just the what clip of them were used in 4 different episodes throughout the series. And the final episode. C'mon you can tell that it def wasn't filmed in season one or I'm guessing up until that point. And if it was filmed before the last season, I am sure they did with couple different endings. Because that last season or the finale look incomplete and hasty attempt to create something shocking, unique, creative and etc and fails those attempts horribly for sooo many reasons.

Just like Friends and The Office, do you think HIMYM would be acceptable in this current social climate? would you think that Barney is showing off toxic masculinity? A Canadian who loves guns? I am sure Barney would be classified as a toxic, white privileged male. he would have been on the first spot on the MeToo campaign: D and a white supremacist as well. there were times when Barney would raise in hand for a high 5, it shows that he is doing the Nazi salute. The kids knew the ending the whole time and never once spoke up about how shit the ending was? They couldve stopped it from happening. One of them was a wizard and not even he did anything to prevent the shows finale.

The show was beautiful until the final 4 episodes. Nobody asked for an ending that tears apart the happy family. The audience would have been satisfied with a happy epilogue.

Only issue I had with the ending was the last season. They spent the entirety of it on the wedding when they shouldve focused on Ted and Tracy and the group.
