i am glad they have barbies of different ethics and races
it makes sense
i being a white woman remember i had more black and asian barbies more than white barbies growing up
and i went to my grandmother for help designing clothes for them becaus ei felt like they deserved cooler clothing than they came with
i did this mostly because i had more black and asian friends more than white friends as a child
i wanted my friends to feel accepted and having a barbie they can relate too is a good idea
but they could play with any barbie they wanted because i was and still am that kind of person
we still need more though i believe

Unless its been done already, I'd like MsMojo to do a comparison vid on the Barbie dolls and the American Girl dolls. For myself, I grew up with Barbie dolls. Working with elementary school students, I've noticed more girls who like the American Girl doll line. I think it would make for an interesting video if MsMojo analyzed both of these popular doll lines. I'd be happy if they showed the progressiveness of the American Girl dolls in a video, as they've done with the Barbie dolls.

I was born in 1977 and was quite young when I got my first Barbie. In the 1980's to the mid-90s Mattel put out what I consider some of the GREATEST Barbies! I had so many. I was swimming in Barbies. My biggest regret was not realizing what I had collected over the years and how special they were BEFORE selling them all at once for I think about $25. 00. maybe even $20. 00. Who da thunk it? .

Becki? A photographer in a wheelchair. Didn't the Barbie Dream house just become w/c accessible? Why would such a progressive feature go unrecognized here? My teen daughter is in w/c full time and enjoyed Becki when she was younger yet we can't find another for her little sister. There definitely needs to be more progress in the area of disabled inclusion.

They'er beautiful but not poseable that's why my daughters dont want them Mattel has gotten so focused on the face and getting everything else right but being cheap at the same time they need to step up their game a bit don't get me wrong i love what they did with the whole body type thing but those dolls aren't for playing with

My mother bought me the Puerto Rican Barbie as an early birthday present and I love her! I really enjoy her head sculpt and traditional clothing
Also, despite the age of the doll, her box was in good condition. Not the best, but okay. I still took her out, for display, though.

I still wish Mattel made the bald Barbie doll for any girl with hair loss diseases and not just cancer patients. Don't get me wrong, I understand how serious cancer is (I had family pass from cancer, but there are other diseases that cause hair loss even in young girls.

Oh yes, Barbie wearing the hijab. Considering those women get the hell beat out of them (or worse) if they DON'T wear the hijab, I don't think that's all that forward thinking. Furthermore, where's Share a Smile Becky? She should replace #8.

Barbie is fine they way she is. You don't need to have a token Barbie to represent every single person on Earth. Barbie isn't doing it because they care about being politically correct they are doing it because they want to make money.

P. S. I DO believe that one of the two little girls in the Christie ad was Maureen McCormick who is famous for playing MARCIA, MARCIA, MARCIA on The Brady Bunch. I dunno if that was already said or not. If not? COOL LOL

I love that the Barbie line is so inclusive now, but on behalf of the people of 2021, please don't let the doll quality suffer. The doll community is sick of the horrible quality we've seen lately.

This is why y'all should learn. THAT BARBIE IS THE QUEEN. not bratz, not my little ponies. but Barbie the QUEEN. she's actually being the best inspiration and role model for the childrens.

Don't forget the SIS, So In Style line of Barbie that was designed by an actual African American designer. She was the one that designed the Fuller lips and curly hair styles for modern barbies.

speaking of president barbie i myself would like to see a female president but this one will have to be a matriarch in the animal kingdom which one you ask well its definitly not a mule

I liked it better when barbie wore evening dresses and had pretty hair you could comb. These suit wearing bun fem-bot barbies are boring in my opinion and a dumb trend.

Where's MADE TO MOVE BARBIE? the one whose purpose is to inspire kids to be more physically active? It comes in regular and curvy bodies and in different ethnicities.

Since there is an American Girl Doll who has a wheelchair and a cast, I think there should be a disabled Barbie doll, coming from a disabled person myself.

Right before my daughter's birthday ahhhh my first Chrissy doll. the memories. I love how they're diversifying I want her to have one of each lol
reply

Too hard to play with Barbie dolls. also the diversity is too infinite. Just let Barbie be Barbie and let us live our lives, please

Dolls of the world kind of upset me. As a Canadian, I was disappointed to see that they believed thats how we actually dress
