This show is by far my favorite show, Obviously there will be a new season later on because they can't let a cast like that this go lol. Anyways, I also loved the books. The only thing I hated in the books was 1)Hannah's whole storyline. Hanna both in the books and show annoyed me. She had moments that were fine but she was probably the most annoying character up next to all the shady parents. She's frustrating, takes Caleb for granted a lot, does exactly what she wants, never sticks to any other plan that isn't her own, wants to be different from Ali and then goes right back to just being a version of Ali like that storyline never happened at all. Plus, she always acts super immature with all of her boyfriends. She even takes Lucas for granted in both show and books lol. 2)Where's Mike? Just like in another show, Friends, we never see Ross's son ever again even though they merely mention his name every now and then. Where did Mike go after some of the seasons? He disappeared. I'm not sure if the show let him go. if he didn't want to Come back. or what happened. But I mean. its a little too late to have a Aria is an only child storyline lol. 3)The show was moving in such an amazing direction in S6. I would have loved to see more of the trauma side of all of the Liars. Like how did getting taken affect them? Are they in different parts of their lives-some liars are doing good and others not so great? I would have loved for them to carry another season like season 6 but replace S7 monstrosity ending with. continuation of season 6 similar storylines and then have that weird. time jump and just fill in the blanks there. I feel like there is so much raw stories waiting to be written when they continue the show maybe for some revival stuff. 4) The Paige Storyline. and how it doesn't work. Paige is another character who infuriates me as much as Hannah's storylines do. Paige is Emily's worst girlfriend so far. I'm not sure why but some of these liars breeze past their relationships like that. anyways, Paige is just all wrong for Emily. My issue is that, Paige is too similar to Emily. I would've liked to have a total opposite for Emily. Emily should have had a longer relationship with Maia. They had some time before Allison was going to show up in the rest of the show. Emily had the pretty supportive stoner gf, the Sarah Harvey. the weird awkward relationship nobody really asked for. I mean the girl was shady and really shouldn't have been dating or starting anything with anyone after being taken and manipulated with for so many years. WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA! Emily also dated Talia which cute relationship. but no. the girl was married and too old for EM. the bo-ho sweet kind Sabrina. Cute relationship but it was too rushed and needed more depth and growth. So my point being, Paige was so wrong for Em. She tried to drown her, tell her they can only be together in private.

The books are so much better I cant get over it. The Ali/Courtney storyline (even tho twin storylines are all pretty bizarre) made much more sense than that CeCe/Charles and Spencers twin thing. The relationships made more sense, the characters were more consistent and in depth and most importantly they had to suffer the consequences of their actions. The rivalries between Spencer and Melissa and Hanna and Kate were so interesting to follow and the show barely touched on that as well. Also Hannas struggles with an eating disorder, Emily dealing with her racist and homophobic mother and undying feelings for Ali/Courtney, Spencer trying to be perfect and cracking under the pressure and Arias parents divorcing were portrayed so well its a shame the show didnt use any of that

I feel sad about the show, because the book has a story that is less comercial but more interesting. Like in the book Ezra got arrested and fired and stop seeing Aria, witch its actually how the plot should be treated considering he was a grown up abusing a minor, but since the actor was hot and the teens loved the bs of forbidden love they become an endgame, same with Toby, he abused her step sister in the book, but he was cute so instead he was abused, witch I actually dont mind because it can talk about how guys suffers rape too, but no the forget that and seasons late we Jenna around and talking to her like she isnt a rapist

Emily has Green/Hazel eyes in the books, and her sister has brown eyes. Hanna is also Jewish (you learn it in the Christmas novel) and Arias family celebrates Winter Solstice. Noel and Aria get together later on, at least after the first four books. Oh, and the timelines are different, with the books being shorter amount of time, 1-4 being August/September-November, and so on, maybe being 2 years at most. And Hanna is really malnourished. Oh, and my favorite thing, Spencer cant keep a guy more than a couple books; shes way more messy in the books, which I love, but personality wise, shed played pretty close to the books.

They ruined Alison's personality throughout the show. We miss Mean Ali so much and Sasha Pieterse is really the perfect person to have and play the role of Alison, and she could've been perfect to be Courtney, too but instead, they switched it to Spencer's twin, Alex, which some of us like or not like it even the British accent, but we also congratulate Troian Bellisario for having that role too as well. I wish that they could bring Mean Ali back in The Perfectionists and if Alex Drake comes back to seek revenge on Mona, Ali will be there and fight her back. And Ali wins. XD

This was one of those shows that were destined to get worse the longer they ran because it was a mystery and you can only drag it out for so long before it just becomes boring. You have to carefully plan out a mystery and you can watch the show and see thats what happened from seasons 1-4. After tho it was all about the spectacle, drama for the sake of drama just to keep it feeling fresh and alive despite it not making sense, a choice the writers made because they had 3 more seasons to fill.

the courtney storyline was so well done in the books it made the shows cece version feel like a knockoff completely and shouldve sticked with the books plot more especially how they got their name in the books too with the media naming them pretty little liars i think before the end of s6 i wouldve said i liked the show more but since its complete i definitely loved the books more i just picture the characters like the show instead

I loved the show but I feel like sincs it's based off a book, it should have been at least a bit similar. By that I mean of course some characters could be different and some romantic relationships as well but the main plot should have remained the same. The ending of the show does the author of the books no justice and honestly I'd be mad if I was Sarah Shepard. (Hope I spelled her name correctly, if not then I'm sorry)

I thought ezria was my favorite couple on the show but I'm starting to think it must be spoby because when I heard that ezria was only in the books for a short time I was only a little disappointed but hearing that spoby never even happened was heartbreaking especially since in the books he turned out to be just as much of a creep they tried making it look at first in pll

One thing that I dont understand in the pll books is how did they hide Alisons twin sister, Courtney Dilaurentis? I mean the community must have known that the family had another daughter. And since the case was so big, how could she not get exposed to everyone? If you have the answer, could you plz explain this to me? I have only read like the first four books.

There's one other thing, Ali was never a friend of the liars. Courtney was there friend, and Ali killed her, cuz Courtney made her parents think Ali washer, for an entire year. After Ali killed her sister, her parents sent Ali back to the Mental institute. Ali in the books was well, insane. Ali in the show was more like Courtney.

I read the first eight books and then I kind of got bored and never finished reading the series. Same with the show, I was hooked with the first three seasons, but never finished it. I think the one thing that bothered me, was how there was always a new A (in the books and the show, so I feel like it was just repeating a cycle
reply

Honestly they should have stuck to the books but Marlon King wanted to be an sjw and ruin her whole show not even remembering what she did two seasons before that and she's doing it again in the perfectionist I'm so glad that this series is under consideration for a reboot in a few years hopefully they get it right
reply

Is no one going to bring up the Spencer thing! I don't want to spoil the end of the series for anyone that hasn't seen it but, it almost made me wish I hadn't bothered to watch the series at all. I haven't read the books, but if that part is in there I definitely won't bother!

Im so glad Ezra got what he deserved in the books. The show gaslights perverted relationships between teens and adults. When I was young I didnt understand but now as an adult rewatching its disgusting how the writers fantasize those type of relationships
reply

i love the show, but the first 2 seasons were the best, and it kind of went downhill from there. the latter half of the books did kind of go in circles at times, but at least the ending was satisfying. idk i just love the books so much
reply

Okay Caleb was actually in the books. He was mentioned in the first one right when the Montgomery's come back from Iceland and Mike yells something like that's Caleb's house. And then he is never mentioned again.
reply

Dunno, but the liars in the books all seem so unlikable. The one reason I loved pll was because I thought that those 4 girls were friendship goals but in the books they often aren't nice to each other: (
reply

Jordan didn't make it to the show? She was the most essential part of Emily's character because after Jordan got killed by an Ali Cat, Emily goes freaking berserk and was out for Alison's blood
reply

Toby was the worst! Spencer and Wren should have ended up together. Ezra and Aria was creepy af too on the show, I would have loved to see Noel and Aria together on the show like in the books
reply

I really hated this show. but i'm here for some reason lol. The editing and screen writing was a mess. The dialogue was painful as well I really hope the book series was better.
reply

I dunno the tv A reveal with CeCe/Charles/Charlotte was a jumping the shark moment for me. The show never recovered. The Ali/Courtney thing would have been so much better.
reply

If the show had followed the plotline of the books, it would have been 10x better. I really liked the books, but thought the show was garbage from the very first episode.
reply

I like it when the series is different from the book, because it's like another adventure of the same characters. Especially crime dramas because you are more surprised.
reply

I was about to ask how you guys could leave out Caleb from your list of ppl not in the books and then see he has his very own section. Kudos, he deserves it XD
reply

This video makes me want to read the books. But there are too many of them, and I have already learned a lot of things. Should I still read them?
reply

The book is so much better than the tv show and more realistic. Except for Spencer she nailed it even if she doesn't matches the book character
reply

Who else had a comment about Caleb not being in the books when they didn't mention it at first then when the entry came up you deleted it
reply

the only things i prefer from the show are Spoby & Mona. like the books are superior in every way but spoby and mona have my heart
reply

TBH I feel like if the show had taken more inspiration from the books, the show would've been better. Like the Courtney story line
