I actually like her character.
She knows what she wants and doesnt waste time on immature things. Shes focused and adamant when she makes up her mind, she doesnt play around and knows her feelings are permanent.
She doesnt actually care about her friends and knows its temporary, as much as she is temporary to them.
Shes not had a relationship before or anyone that interested her heart and finally found someone different. As she once said, shes always felt out of step or different.
She doesnt lie and is very truthful about who she is, unlike most people who pretend.
Shes not vain and doesnt do trendy things, quite simple.
She doesnt care about society.
She cant relate to her friends and to be fair, neither could I, theyd talk about the most teen childish things that even I as a teen couldnt bother talking about.
She researched things shes curious about because she doesnt leave things alone unless she understands them.
BOTTOMLINE; shes a teen. We were all pretty much the same as teens, never made all the right decisions, discovering our feelings, cutting off friends or making more.

First her mom, she remarried. I think you don't know how it feels when that happens its like a complete new surrounding. Its not that easy at first. Secondly, Bella cared a lot about Charlie, when Edward informed her that she's being followed after the baseball game. The first person she was worried abt was him not even her herself. Third, when Edward left she became so lonely, depressed but her friends were chuckling together none of them came to her or even visited her home. Fourth, about revolving around Edward all the time, did you ever fall in love with someone? He left her once so she didnt wanted that to happen again ever that is why she may have felt to be careful towards him, she missed him so much we all know that. And lastly being clumsy, that is not a disability nor a bad thing she wasnt a vampire just a girl. Also at the end she became the strongest among the vampires community. Imagine if itd turned out, in the films, the twist is Bella came from a long line of monster hunters: the Van Hellsings, and shed planned to have the vampires and werewolves destroy each other, this not having been the first time shes done this, as shes gone from state to state across America, turning blithe communities against each other, having purged seven of the fifty states of vampires and werewolves the same way. This, being the first time where shed been found out of her plan. Only for her to escape the country on a boat, with a vampire hidden aboard. Her fate eluded to girl missing overboard among empty ship having arrived at the port of England. It hints at her, and possibly other passengers and crewmen dying on the small ship, but also hints at the origins of Vampires in literature with the callback to events from Bram Stockers Dracula, or Nosferatu. Also, itd be a great twist of a Van Hellsing was evil and the monsters were good. This particular community of monsters.

I don't agree with everything listed here, though the most irritating and selfish thing she does - in my opinion - is going out in the forest alone to find a cliff to jump off when she knows her father is out in the woods with an old man looking for giant wolves that he reasonably believes could kill her and other townsfolk, as well as knowing that the wolves are out there too, trying to hunt down the vampire that is solely in the area to kill Bella, and they all have to stop what they're doing to go find her and rescue her, and poor Harry Clearwater dies. If Charlie found out what Bella had done, he'd have to leave his dying friends side to go to Bella. It's so fcking selfish and thoughtless

She's such a pick me and she's literally manipulating two people. Knowing damn well they'd get jealous over her. She's also treated Jake like trash and yet he still loves her. I think you have it backwards Jacob manipulates Bella. Many times she has said that she does not have feelings for Jacob but he still decides to kiss her without her concent. Jacob was Bellas best friend and did not want to lose it and the only way to not lose him was to kiss him. Honestly, her reaction to the supernatural being real is what got me, it took their being werewolves for to ask is their anything else, otherwise the rest I imagine Bella trusted cause hes a vampire, someone who is in the supernatural club, another is Jacob, my first reaction if I found out the supernatural existed would be to trust someone who is supernatural such as what Bella did.

What i detest is the characters mind boggling selfishness. Putting herself, her family and friends in danger to get a vampire bf. Trampling all over her father and Jacob to suit her bfs interests. Putting Cullen family in danger because she wants some vampire fangs. All Bella swan can think about is her bf and herself. Everyone else is just a prop to be used and thrown when needed.

I think the fact that she had no personal goal, or any interest in developing as an individual without Edward is by far her biggest flaw. Which indirectly creates all those other flaws. If she had a dream to, i dunno, do something in college or become a vampire to make good use of her powers instead of just being with edward, it wouldve added so much depth to her

I actually relate to Bella a lot as an autistic girl, as do many other autistic people I know! She has bad gross motor skills, sensory issues, social awkwardness, her emotional reactions to things are often unexpected/she isn't fazed, Charlie has autistic traits too, Bella struggles with change, she's never fit in, she finds it hard to make close friendships.

I do want to cut her some slack on the Edwards thing not going into it, but I do know how it feels to lose a partner except for my partner didnt leave like Edward did my partner well sort of died so I kind of get where Bellas coming from sometimes when I think about it, I even call me missing him a call it a new moon syndrome

Just finished watching the movie in one day after a few years it was released, no one can change my mind: HARRY POTTER is still my fav; I can't over it while for Twilight - (sigh) - I'll never watch it anymore. It is just focusing on love relationship, jealousy, and it's cringy scene, what's good about it!

I can't believe that I read the Twilight saga and the first Twilight film from high school to early college. I have no idea Bella is the terrible protagonist. I don't think I should watch or read Twilight again after watching this video, because the protagonist needs a meaningful outlook.

I will never understand the appeal this movie has. The characters are unlikable and the story is ridiculous. Its basically a rebellious, privileged, bratty teenage girls dream come true. That sounds like a nightmare for most people.
