I love Drew. When I was only 11 I decided to see Scream because I saw her in it and anyways even though she's only in the first 15 minutes, it's grown to be my favorite movie. If I didn't see her on the poster on Netflix, I probably would've never had the proper introduction to it, even though Neve Campbell now is my personal celebrity crush.

DREW BARRYMORE has not had a tragic life. somebody who's homeless by 5 years old and lives in a trash dump in mumbai has a tragic life. DREW B. just had a few difficulties along the way.
are we now so saturated in celebrity culture and wealth porn that we actually feel sorry for people like her? you're kidding right?

I have always thought Drew to be one of the most beautiful and talented actors in any movie. She has seems to have an innocence about her, a humbleness that draws you to her. Her laugh and smile are beautiful. She has one of the best comeback stories in Hollywood!

Think the reason I love Drew so much is the darkness she's gone through pretty much all of her younger years, and how much of an amazing, strong person she is now. Great actress & pretty decent talk show hostess too.

She went through so much. But she is so intelligent she overcame them and learned a great lesson. She must have had good people around to support her too. And I think her positive attitude helped her come back.
reply

So she was born in 1975, and then in 1979 she did an interview when she was 26? I guess you didnt pay much attention to the dates of the shows there because all of them were incorrect!
reply

Fun fact: At the wrap party for 1984's Firestarter (her first film in which she had a lead role, Drew had her first taste of champagne, and that was when her alcohol problems started.

She jumped off a cruise ship and lived, and went on to get married and have kids. She didnt die or commit suicide. Shes done very well and has taken care of her parents. Hazzah! Drew.
reply

What do you mean, lowest point of her life, that was the american dream. That's why nobody interfered, everyone was busy partying and having the time of their lives.
reply

she's alive, so it's not tragic. tragic if she choose to give up and ended up somewhere getting unconscious all the time. thank god she's has a strong and beautiful heart.
reply

She was born to parents who saw her as an accessory and literally led her to addiction. Until she finally took her destiny in her own hands and left that Toxic world

Seeing this for the first time. Wooooow. I would have never guessed, if I had not seen the interviews, shows etc, but EXCELLENT COMEBACK DREW and Thank goodness.

Her childhood and early adulthood had trauma but her life is far from tragic. She is the epitome of growth and resilience. I love her personality so much.

I wonder how much she suffered at the hands of pedophiles while she was drunk or stoned or high on coke.
