Top 10 Teen Movies You Forgot Were Amazing What. No The Hot Chick! Buffy The Vampire Slayer (the movie, Hackers, Disturbing Behavior, My Boyfriends Back, All I Wanna Do, But Im a Cheerleader, Cruel Intentions, Dangerous Minds, The Virgin Suicides, Election, Slums of Beverly Hills, plus all the teen horror flicks like Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer. Oh and idk if this counts since the character are grown up in most of the film but Romy & Michelles High School Reunion, and these are mostly 90s films. The 80s and early 2000s had way more memorable teen movies.\r\n

I remember ALL the Josie and the Pussycats songs two decades later. Empire Records was my movie, I can't count how many times I watched that when I was younger, and yeah I happen to yell shoplifteeeerrrrr at times, only around family of course.
This list, except 5 and 2 and 1 was literally my childhood/teen years in films. I know what I'll be rewatching during stage 4 lockdown!

I like most of these movies, but I hated Josie and the Pussycats when I saw it in theaters. Maybe I need to rewatch it. Never Been Kissed is one of my favorite movies of all time- its so clever and sweet with a fantastic ensemble of characters/actors.

Jawbreaker is the better version of Mean girls!
Think about it: there's drama, romance, comedy, murder and revenge!

I was assigned male at birth and my obsession with Josie and the pussycats was one of the first signs that I was a trans girl.

Better Off Dead. One of the funniest teen movies I've ever seen and one of John Cusack's first films. I want my two dollars!

I love Romy and Michelle' s high school reunion. Although it's not a teen movie, I thought it is worth a mention.

The way way back? It is mostly full of Adult story lines and focus is more on the parents than the few teenagers.

Empire Records was my fav! Loved the fact that there were no typical high school scenes in the entire movie.

I was 16 when Cinderella Story came out and my teen brain and heart weren't ready for Chad Michael Murray.
