Sheesh, who made this top? Someone who skimmed through the episodes? Niles didn't have phobias, he was slightly OCD and otherwise the stereotypical nerd ( pale, with all kinds of allergies, bad at sports, academic centered. if wanting to keep your fingers when probing the drain of the garbage disposal is a phobia, or getting some sort of food poisoning and having to ride an elevator lots of times in the span of a few minutes is a phobia, sure. you're right. Also, Frasier redecorating his apartment several times was because he didn't want to look like he copied off his temporary boss who used him as a mentor and moved on. As for Maris. I think it was a continued running gag from Cheers. after all, we never got to see Vera Peterson either. But if I were to cast her, it's be the same actress who played Mel, or a slightly differently made up Bebe Neuwirth ( aka Lilith) because it would be hysterical and a running gag in itself. As for Niles and Daphne's love. I wouldn't say it was unrequited, just that Daphne didn't allow herself to think about him that way because he was married and her employer's brother and patient's son. so it took a good 7 years for all the pieces of the puzzle to fall the right way and 2 more for them to tie the knot.

Oh my goodness! I LOVE THIS SHOW! Although I didnt watch it when it ran from 1993-2004, I have recently found it and binged watched every episode in the 11 seasons! And now, I am starting them over! I cant seem to get enough. We did watch Cheers, and have recently binged watch it also, but my favorite is definitely Frazier! The chemistry between all the main characters on Frazier is so good that you actually begin to believe they ARE the people they play in the show! IMO, it is one of the best written and acted sitcoms of the late 20th century!

I've watched Fraiser, the full series and all episodes for the entire 11 seasons multiple times. It is by far my favorite sitcom ever. The comic genius of this show is unrivaled in my opinion. How can you go wrong pairing Shakspearian trained actors with straight comic actors? You can't. It was brilliant in every way and that cast was magic. No way to cast an actor as Maris. Leaving her a mystery was the best move on their part. I do like this better than Cheers and I've watched all of Cheers twice in my lifetime.

As a kid, my mom always watched Frasier and I used to hate it and think it wasn't funny. But a few years ago, I think 2016, I started watching cheers. After finishing cheers I was in love with Frasier's character and watched his show Frasier. It made me laugh my ass off and I realized that I severely misjudged Frasier and realized you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. I can't wait for the new Frasier revival show!

As far as I am concerned, Frasier is the best TV show in the history of television. After seeing it countless times, I still laugh at all the jokes, and I can recite most of the episodes by heart. My favorite is Moon Dance. I loved the show so much I named my Maine Coon cats Niles and Daphne. My cousin named her dog Frasier. If the reboot is half as good as the original, it will be well worth watching.

Yes I missed watching Frasier in the 1990s. I was working full time and commuting and raising kids. So i discovered this show in the winter of 2021. Yep I binged watched it about 17 times. I liked Cheers well enough, but I love Frasier. I may never get tired of watching this show. Thanks to all the actors on Frasier that have made my life better.

I remember hearing that John Mahoney always had trouble pronouncing the names of the places Martin was in during the Korean War. If you look closely, his struggles with the names almost makes him look like a dog chewing a toffee; the extra effort needed to make sure he got the name right made him use the oddest of expressions at times. :D

My female Jack Russell stares at people in the lift in our high rise just like Eddie does. She makes some people really uncomfortable. Jack Russells aren't like other dog breeds they have some really odd behaviours that the Parson bred into them. I'm 70 and have owned dogs all of my life and there are none like the Jack Russell breed.

Hardly watched Cheers. I got tired of Sam. I love Frasier. I bought the series when the pandemic began and it got me through some awful times. It really was the best series on television. Don't know about the reboot. Maybe a two-hour movie, but Martin's gone and the cast has moved on. But it was a wonderful run, wasn't it?

The physical comedy we see from Niles (DHP) is incredible. The Valentines Day episode where Niles was ironing his trousers and set the couch on fire made me literally laugh so hard that I could not breathe! And not a single word of dialogue from him. Thats talent of the Lucille Ball / I Love Lucy series!

I loved that the deceased mother was a BRILLIANT research scientist who named her lab rats Frasier and Niles years before her boys were born. I think there should be a pre-quel series fleshing out the life of the mom. STARRING JENNIFER NETTLES!

I would cast Nancy Cartwright as Maris, it would be a nice reference to the episode of The Simpsons when David Hyde Pierce voiced Sideshow Bob's brother Cecil. At one point Bart blinded Cecil and said Guess who. and Cecil said Maris?

Hi Rebecca! I DO binge watch both Frasier & Cheers! I must admit that my favorite is Frasier, but that doesnt take away anything from Cheers. I will be in Boston this year and I will be stopping by Cheers-where nobody knows my name!

I'm not sure who I'd cast as Maris, but I always saw her as the opposite of Lilith in appearance. Blonde, always wearing white or light colours, heels and incredibly thin. Pretty much Marylin Monroe except thin and without the brains.

Remember when America's Most Wanted did an entire show on what Maris looked like. They did a drawing and it looked like a stick figure based on what every comment was said about her. lol I always pictured Morgan Fairchild.

I'd say you'd have to cast an unknown actress for Maris because she's constantly described as being very very very thin, pale and sickly. You'd have to find some anorexic pale sickly and angry looking woman

Hated Cheers. Didn't watch Frasier for a couple of years because I assumed I'd hate it, too, then watched with a friend one day. Instantaneously loved Frasier and I still watch it over and over.

Binge watching for the second time since getting Amazon Prime Video. It still makes me laugh. I love Eddie the dog. He's such a scene stealer, especially when he's breaking Frasier's couch rule

Dont bother with this presentation. there is nothing worse than having someone explain the obvious as if they think their speech and understanding is more important than the video itself.

The funniest person to play Maris would have been Bebe Neuwirth (she played Frasier's wife Lilith. She would have to have some different feature, like white hair, but it be wonderful.

I watch Frasier nightly, never really watched Cheers much, and am VERY MUCH looking forward to the reboot. I hope it goes forward, though it seems it may have hit some snags.

There wasn't a single character on Cheers that I liked. I loved (almost) everyone on Frasier (exceptions: any member of Daphne's family, though they played their parts well.

I absolutely adore Frasier & have binge watched on many occasions. Not crazy about Cheers though. I can't imagine a remake of Frasier without the original Martin.

Frazier, never really enjoyed Cheers. Top two themes: over the top thinking they are upper tier people and secondly, endless competition between the two.

Eddie and Frasier was one of my favorites. I absolutely loved Frasier, I probably watched 5 or less episodes of Cheers (I found the humor too mean.

A lot of these arent running gags. They are character arcs or plot lines. Might as well have included Frasier liking opera or Martin owning a dog.
