First off- I love Queen Bey. But it really bothers me that it has been proven that the 'Single Ladies' video choreography is almost completely 'borrowed' from an old show. It seems unfair that the real choreographer did not the get the credit, and the initial performers not credited at all. But Beyonce's version is considered one of the best of all time. I know arists take inspriation from other artists and dancers (clearly with example Vogue. But if you watch the original video, it is the same thing. Those ladies and their choreographer obviously were ahead of their time, I guess. But they should get credit.

No doubt, Uptown Funk - Bruno Mars. It's a fun video with great lyrics that are easy to remember. (so hot: call the police and the fireman, make a dragon wanna retire, man) I still love Chuck converses due to this song. Of Course Michael J. was #1 for decades because everything he did was gold. I also love Paula, Hammer, Backstreet Boys, Brittany, Janet and Madonna but Uptown Funk is something I can listen to anytime.

Sorry Miss Mojo but very disappointing collection. Misinformed. I can understand including MJ and Janet and Beyonce, but where is BTS. Is it a racist thing or just a half ass attempt to construct this topic. BTS are by far the best dancers (impeccable steps and frighteningly breakthrough choreography and precision) in the world after MJ. How dare you. You are wasting our time. So discouraged.

Vogue and Thriller my all time favorite! I used to hit the New York clubs back in the 90s especially The Tunnel - after 12pm the Houses of Voguing would perform the rest of the night (those days were magical) so when Madonna internationalize it, I was soo proud. Thanks MOJO for making sure you gave credit to Harlem - Black Americans and Gay community for this iconic dance.

SOME good choices though I take issue with some of the rankings for my taste. Number 16 and 17 are a joke and should be nowhere near this list. Not only have I never heard either song, but I have also never seen either video. That is ok, but the dancing/ choreography in both is TERRIBLE. Oh well. That is just my opinion. It was an interesting watch.

You can't enjoy anything with Mojo talking through all their video's they post on here. It would be so much better if they SHUT UP NARRATING THROUGHOUT. They have ruined it on all of them they post on here. Can someone else do these video's without talking through them. Please SHUT UP!

Truly the choreography and artistic level of ON, Run BTS, or Black Swan videos by BTS are all head and shoulders above most of these in terms of difficulty and complexity. Also where are latin music videos? This should have been labelled as a different list.
reply

I think almost anything by Ciara, Missy, Janet, and Michael could fill lists like this. Then there's Pink, Aaliyah, K-Pop groups, so many talented dancers and choreo out there. This was a decent list, and was bound to not catch all of the possible choices.
reply

You obviously haven't seen On by BTS. It's amazing. The original is the best, but they also performed the song at Grand Central Station in New York. I agree with Thriller for number one, but you have to get your mind out of America to find the top 20.

Taylor Swift is undoubtly crushed by being left off this list. As one of, if not the, most successful song writers and performers of all time, I'm sure she'll cry all the way to th bank. Her next worldwide tour is slated to make her a billionair.

Who does the writing for MsMojo? Talking all through the video with constant, incessant, distracting cliche-ridden banalities, telling us exactly what were seeing as if we are too stipid to process it. EVERY video is like this. Ugh.

Micheal Jackson was the Grandfather of the Chorography, before him most singer just danced and sung in place. When tv special come on they had professional dancers in backgrounds, but singer didnt participate in choreograpy dance.
reply

I don't know if anyone has an issue seeing some of the videos from earlier in the countdown (most by artists I've never heard of, but also with trash choreo) being on the same list with MJ, Janet, Paula, and Madonna. smh
reply

How did Lady G get on this list before any of Rihannas dance vids or Pussycat Dolls dance vids? There are so many dance videos that are far better than some of these. Soooooo, no, I dont agree with most of your pics.
reply

No Shakira in this list aka the most iconic female dancer in the music industry! No one can dance like her and there is a specific reason why her dance became her personal signature.
reply

Where was Prince's Cream? Madonna's Jump? En Vogue - My Lovin' AND Free Your Mind? Stevie Nick's Stand Back? Madonna's Holiday? Lionel Richie - Dancing on the Ceiling or All Night Long?
reply

Chris Brown should have been in the top 3 videos. I don't agree with your picks. And Chris probably wasn't in the running because of the mistake he made when he was in his teens which is sad.
reply

Norman I being 19 is complete BS lmao. What was the metric for this list? Her video was choreo from top to bottom, with choreo more complex than any Ive seen in years for an artist.
reply

Even though you have Thriller as number one. putting smooth criminal at number 10 is a disservice. Smooth criminal is hands down the best choreographic video ever made period.
reply

Almost every video you played after Janets was influenced by her and that video, yet you put her outside the top 10? Janet The Dance Legend Jackson? This list is ridiculous!
reply

Honestly, I haven't even heard of a majority of these songs. or half of the artists.
Amazing how many choreography awards were handed out for just for tramp dancing.

reply

How was Are You That Somebody by Aaliyah not on this list? Choreo that went with the beat of the song is top tier that song deserved a place on this list
reply

Oh my god look at Bruno Mars hes so cool and even Lady Gaga how beautiful she is I love Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga theyre both pretty iconic singers
reply

What REALLY makes me sick is the GLARING ABSENCE of 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film: Come Prima by BTS! (well, Fire, Danger, or DNA too for that matter)
reply

Thriller as Number One is the correct choice; however, Madonna's Vogue should have been second.
Vogue is one of the most seminal videos of all time.

reply

Disappointed that more videos from the 70s and 80s were not considered and included in the list. At least Paula Abdul was included, as she should be.
reply

Now this was a list I agree with. A nice mixture of genres & styles. The top three were simply the best ever in any setting. #justLove
reply

I believe that you might've included Love Is A Battlefield, by Pat Benatar; we used to mimc the dance whenever it played at clubs.
reply

TBF if we are talking about influence on mainstream culture like the MC Hammer song then Gangnam Style should be in here.
reply

So you're going to talk all the way through this MUSIC video. Why not add your comments as subs? That'd be more polite.
