I had this theory that Bruno is actually Camillos biological father and that Pepa and Felix agreed to claim and raise him as his own from the fact on how Alma and the rest of the community looked at Bruno. Bruno wanted what was best for his son, and not wanting Alma to push him down like she did him, he asked his sister to pretend to be her nephews mother just so hed have a slight chance to be on his abuelas good side. Julietta and Augustine also know about Bruno being Camilos father and have sworn to keep the secret from Alma and anyone else in the community. The few reasons why Dolores doesnt know is because shes a few years older than Camilo and she didnt get her gift yet, and with all the other secrets flowing around the town, she wouldnt have been able to know if this was true or not.
Some factors on why I think Camilo is Brunos son isnt just with how he dresses, but how he looks and acts. Camilo has a bit of freckles on his face, but neither Pepa or Felix have as many as he does, if any. We do see that Dolores and Antonio have freckles, but they dont have as much as Camilo does. Bruno also has a bit of freckles on his face, almost a little more than his Sisters do. The curly hair between Camilo and Felix and Pepa. Where Felix and Pepa have pretty tight curls, Camilos is a bit loose, much like Brunos hair.
The mannerisms between Bruno and Camilo are pretty similar. Bruno tried his best to be playful and a bit of a prankster to loosen his sisters up about the future to come, even if it backfired on him more than once. Also, the amount of awkwardness these two produce is adorable. We see it in Bruno the moment we meet him, and we see it a little later in Camilo when theyre rebuilding casita and he drops the shovel.
The way they both try to get a smile from those around them, and how they wanna be helpful in the eyes of both Alma and the community. But Camilo has a higher chance at it because everyone, including Alma, believe that Camilo is Pepa and Felixs child.
Then again, thats just my theory on the matter(Im aware that there is some misspelling of names, but I can live with that, because Im tired)

Maybe pedro has his own magic powers thats why their town was raided because they were searching for him.
And by the time of his death transferred his magical powers to the candle and made abuela its caretaker.
The casita is an extension of the caretakers and thus explaining why the cracks formed.
Abuela became so worried that the miracle would be lost and their family would be torned apart.
Most especially when mirabel didnt have a gift on her own.
And why mirabel didnt had her gift is because abuela the caretaker of the miracle has to have a replacement that can cope up with the pressure of handling the family.
I like its new foundation, its not perfect, neither were we.
When the candle burned out of mirabels hands, she became the candle itself.
Cant wait for part two, pedro and almas full back story.

Their powers reflects their emotions is another thing from Charmed. Leo: Your power comes from your emotion. In a fan theories of if Bruno had kids, his son would b a necromancer, able to see, hear ghost that r present, as well as make them visible for other and summon them from beyond the grave of the afterlife for a visit. To make the power of 3, it would b of wealth in my fan theory; spiritual wealth of healing broken hearts to speak with lost loved ones, another would like Isabela. create (manifest from nothing) manipulate-control and negate (make them vanish) all kinds of gemstones since Bruno conjure emerald tablets, as monetary. And the third would see the past and present for knowledge wealth. I think Bruno would have only boys since Julieta has only girls and Pepa r a gender swamp of Alma's.

I forgot which podcast mentioned it, but the Madrigal name is also a pun on the type of theatrical song of the same name. The song We don't talk about Bruno is a madrigal song. These types of musical songs are defined by multiple people in the cast having different parts at the same time that work together. Mirabel and Abuela are references to the one cast member in the performance which never sings but is still essential to the performance: the conductor. Abuela as the holder of the candle with no gifts of her own is the current conductor. Mirabel also having no gifts but being essential to the restoring of the magic, and her image being in the front of the mural on the new front door, establishes her role as the new conductor at the end of the movie.

I have a thery, it's a bit on the dark side though. It links to Abuelito Pedro being the house, and that he had the first gift, also links to my theory that Bruno is Merabel's biological father cause they look alike, plus she is the one who who pieced everything together about Bruno. So, the grandma is afraid that Merabel will turn mad like she and the others thought he did when she gets her powers, and that Athe grandma made it to where Merabel didn't get a gift. Because that happened, Pedro helped Merabel find Bruno, and helped Merabel biuld back the house, because the guilt and sadness from the grandma was what was killing the magic.

My fan theory: The Madrigal family gets their gifts at the age of five and it is instantaneously obvious what their gifts are, as when Antonio got his gift and began speaking to animals. I'm assuming when the triplets turned 5, Pepa and Bruno's gifts were immediately obvious. However, Julieta, Mirabel's mom's, gift is to heal people with her meal. Does that mean at 5 years old she started cooking? Or as she became older and learned to cook that's when her gifts became known? If it didn't happen until she got older that means they may have thought she didn't get a gift at the age of 5. Just like Mirabel.

can i say one of my theories.
mybe mirabel as a none gifted madrigal got it from her auntie abuela, who in which, is also a non magical being.
as you have said, the power of the madrigals came from his husband which he perfomed a mirace to save his family.
so what if mirabel was the next in line to continue what auntie abuela has built which was to protect his family or in short is to pass on the candle and take over the casitas. and now she is the owner of the casitas (where you said was the room of auntie abuela.
just saying

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't want Mirabel to have some secret gift. The entire plot was about how someone who isn't gifted can still do amazing things, which is a great lesson for kids to learn. You don't have to be a genius or extremely athletic or beautiful in order to do good things and be of use.
(Not that Mirabel isn't pretty ofc but canonically Isabella is like the definition of beauty in the eyes of the town and the point I'm making is that you don't have to be viewed as attractive to belong)

I support that Casita is Maribel power all along.
we already got a foreshadowing from Pepa that emotion will affect the weather and antonio can talk to animal.
what if, for maribel, her emotion affect the house and she literally talked to the house the whole time, because the first time she saw the cracks, is when she saw the whole family is happy celebrating Antonio's gift and without her in the picture, her confidence is so low at the time that it literally cracks in front of her.

Mirabel Gift is Destined to fix the family problem and she will be the foundation of casita because she is love, hope, peace and harmony in the home. Thats why she wasn't given a door since its not yet her time. And her door is the front door. She had a gift all along but abuela didn't get the message. Supposed she should have listened to the prophecy it meant to destroy for them to build again a foundation. And Dolores want to break the casita because she just wanted a normal life.

For me I think Pepa is Actually Different from the rest of the madrigals, she's White, Her hair is Sorta Caramel or Ginger This makes Pepa Unique. She treats Mirabel Like she's not part of the Family Because She didn't get a GIFT, Because Madrigals Are the only ones to get a GIFT. Abuela Didn't Expect Mirabel to be the next Candle holder Because she didn't get a gift. Fun fact: Bruno's Eyes where BROWN when he was born. But when he got his gift his Eyes TURNED GREEN.

The magical candle and the Casita are as old and mysterious as the mountains and woods of ( Encanto ) itself but still it's was Abuelo ( Pedro)'s sacrifice for his family that made the magic get activated and become alive that why it dead after Abuela start mistreating Mirabel despite being a part of thier family also the golden butterfly symbols transformations in the characters and the story but it's also the soul of Abuelo ( Pedro)'s living near his family
reply

Am I the only one who thinks the magic came from Alma? When we see Pedros death from Mirabels perspective, you see the magic emanate from Alma as she falls & cries out in pain. She builds a wall around them, creates the Encanto, and is the only other blood Madrigal without an active power, because she made it, all of it. And Pedro sent her Mirabel to remind her of whats really important - their family.

It's a little funny how the villagers blame Bruno for their mishaps he warned gal her fish was going to die and he definitely can't control that unlesshe killed the fish himself, the guy who grew a gut also blamed him why didn't he watch what he was eating and Bruno definitely didn't force him to have a gut, as for bald priest Bruno did nothing to him they kinda treated him like the grim reaper
reply

I just noticed the gifts between the madrigal, first pepa, antonio and isabella has a nature related gifts, then luisa, dolores and camillo had super powers within their bodies, then bruno and maribel's mom had the only odd powers within the family. The other family members had similar gifts, thus i speculate that if mirabel had a gift she would fit with her mother and bruno's gift
reply

My theory was that Pedro gave magic to his children by kissing them all before sacrificing himself. That was how he gave them their gifts. He kissed Alma last and put the miracle in her care.
I love the theory that Mirabel is the successor to the magic - really hope it's true! Mirabel has such empathy and would do wonderful things for both the community AND her family.

Here is a thought Mirabel is not the only one without a special power. Alma Doesn't seem to have a special gift. Other then being the keeper of the candle. And Matriarch of the family. Her biggest fear is who will be in charge when she's gone. She sees through Bruno's vision that it will be Mirabel. And Alma is afraid of grooming Mirabel for the task.
reply

A wired fact: in the stairs when antonio was getting his gift abuela was in the stairs and said 50 years ago-but Wait the Movie was Made in 2021 so was their first gift given to somebody in 1971
Another wired fact: Why Does Abuela Not Like Mirabel Beacause Mirabel Doesnt Have A Gift When Abuela Doesnt Have One Either

reply

I have a theory: Maribel is actually Bruno's daughter whom Bruno gave to Juliette after he defected from the family. Think about it: they look more alike than her supposed parents. I'm thinking Maribel was still young when Bruno gave her to Juliette, perhaps a baby even, and that's why she sees Juliette as her mother.
reply

My questions are
How did Bruno use the bathroom
Is the fish lady and bruno related because the fresh lady was there when the family was circling mirabelle while she was fixing the glass and bruno mentioned her when he was about to see me mirabelle vision and attachment to a pet is very long for 10 years

reply

I think Julieta, Pepe, and Bruno represent ways to move on from tragedy, Julieta can heal physical wounds to try to heal from the past, Pepe controls the weather to try to control things outside of her control, and Bruno sees the future to try to move forward.
reply

In all fairness Casita saved everyone from danger when the house broke, ex. Isabella would've been seriously hurt falling from the second floor trying to protect the candle if Casita didn't use the guard rail to catch her and make the landing easier on her.
reply

I have a theory why Mirabel didn't get a gift. Its because of her glasses glasses help to see better so her glasses could be a sign of weakness. Mirabel s'dad has glasses but no one else in the family madrigal Who has a gift wears glasses.
reply

Freakin Alma. shes got that judgy matriarch look all the time. She looks at you and shes judging you. If I were Mirabel, I would not stick around to take the shade from family who actually got gifts. Id be like bye
reply

I think mirabelle's power is that the magic is tied to her emotions because when she did not get a gift she looks at abuela and when she is sad you see the candle almost goes out so I think the magic is tied to her emotions
reply

Mirabel didn't ruin her chances by wiping her hands, she transfered the power to herself and that's why she's the one who can understand Casita and why she's the one who will take Alma's place as the keeper of the miracle.
reply

I think that Pedro sacrificed himself for his familys life and happiness the same way Bruno hid himself for the same reason knowing that if he told his vision, the family would be terrified and unhappy.
reply

I've heard that if the Madrigals adopted a child that child would be given a gift as well. If that's true, everyone in the Encanto could have a gift. The magic didn't have to be kept in the family.
reply

As I was watching Encanto, I theorized that Mirabels green glasses could make her see Brunos visions, and I didnt know it! Also, she had a gift all along, the gift of connecting with Casita!
reply

I've always wondered if Mirabel's glasses were a visible reminder of the fact she was flawed. Other than her father, nobody in the family wears glasses, and he's not technically a Madrigal.
