- The first five minutes of Grave of the Fireflies has my daughter & me openly sobbing every time we watch it.
- The entire last, oh, 20 minutes or so of I Am Not Ashamed; even my husband was wiping his eyes.
- The VERY end of Schindler's List. the stones on the grave. and that's all I'll say about that one.
- Watching the news, and everything that follows, in I Want to Eat Your Pancreas. (Don't let the title fool you; it's an incredible anime)
- Stay gold, Ponyboy from The Outsiders
- The Passion of the Christ. that He suffered that for me.
-. and I. am. Iron Man. snap from Endgame
- The young Prince, soon to become King, telling his father (the King) & his family how he would rule, while his father quietly slips away in The King & I (Side note: my parents saw the show live on Broadway. My mother was sobbing at the end until Yul Brynner literally leaped off the couch to take his bows)
- Josee showing her book near the end of Josee, the Tiger, & the Fish. Happy tears!
- Enzo's last ride, and Denny's new fan in The Art of Racing In the Rain.

Great list. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas should have been number one, in my opinion. Not only the death of a child, but at the hands of a regime the father himself works to propagate. Imagine the fathers world the next day. Cruel, but certainly earned, fate for the father. So very relevant for today. So many fail to realize that always, inevitably, them becomes us. However we want them treated, we will eventually be treated.

My Girl and Titanic always made me cry growing up. As a kid, I cried in Land Before Time when the mom dies. The only movie that has the saddest is Marley and Me. I can't bear to watch that movie again after going through the same experience with my own dog. I'll bet that every dog owner can relate to that scene by shedding a tear.

I can't believe The Fault In Our Stars isn't on this list. Every time I watch that movie or read the book I need at least one box of tissue and a bin. I'm always bowling my eyes out through the entire movie. Even watching some of the scenes makes me automatically cry

Its so funny, I just watched Titanic again recently. And the last probably chunk of the movie I tear up. And I saw this movie in high school in the 90s. And its like I just cant watch it without crying.
Im not surprised it made never one. Not at all.

It's not the opening of Up that gets me; it's later when he's going through her Adventure Book, finds that she filled it with pictures of their life together, and that she left a captain, Thanks for the adventure - now go have a new one! Love, Ellie

How did Mufasa not even get an honorable mention? Also, #1 should have just been literally every time the dog dies. Old Yeller, I Am Legend, Marley and Me, literally all of them are heartbreaking, even in movies where thats not the point.

The last scene in Life is Beautiful. Not number 1 not on the list. Not even honorable mention. Means this person is a joke. Worthless list. How about it's not your fault from goodwill hunting. This person sucks bad at what she does

I ran out of my classroom (and into the restroom) when I saw the ending to The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
I can relate to Marley and Me when losing my second dog in 2018.
The proof of not every film has a happy ending.

Hach: A dog's tale. The part when Parker's wife Cate sees the Hachi still waiting for Parker after all those years. And also the last part of the movie, when Hachi closes his eyes and dreams about meeting Parker again

I scrolled down at least a hundred comments. Not one Life is Beautiful. People sat in the theater sobbing at the end. Most powerful amazing and tear jerking moment ever. It amazes me that no one has mentioned this

I was watching Cast Away the other day and I always tear up when Wilson floats away and Tom Hank's character can't save him. I know it's just a volleyball but the human emotion behind it gets me.

I think Cherry should have been on this list because when Tom's character is talking on the phone with his wife, he cries because he lost his friend in a car explosion. Its so sad

Dances With Wolves when they kill Kevin Costner's wolf friend. I cried for an hour after the movie ended. I was inconsolable. It ripped my heart out.
