Ok you missed a lot of actors. The role of Laura was written for Constance McCashin for Knots Landing. Estelle Getty got the role of Sophia for The Golden Girls because the producers saw her in Torch Dong Trilogy. Mindy Cohen was just a student a girl's private school giving the producers of The Facts of Life a tour. Charlotte Rae falls in love with her & she got the role of Natalie. I know these are 80s shows but still.

I liked Aubrey Plaza, she is a large part of what got me to watch Parks and Rec all the way through.
It's too bad Ross on Friends is one of the most toxic characters on tv. He ruined Rachel's happiness throughout the show and destroyed her promising career because he is/was a major creep. It's not too different from how Ted was on How I Met Your Mother.

Well, although Eartha Kitt took over the role of Catwoman on Batman when Julie Newmar couldn't do it she had declared the part was written for her even though she meant it figuratively!
