As fun as this show was and still is, they never answered the 2 biggest questions about the the show. whom were they talking to during the couch segments and why were they doing so? Plus, I wanna know did the writers want Haley and Alex to be bi? In different seasons both Haley and Alex had expressed in other girls, Hale with the woman who helped with the flat tire and Alex when she was helping Luke get over Tammy(the Dunphy's neighbor's daughter) where explicitly heard Alex say something about going to a museum to kiss her before she excuses herself out.

The baby in the car scene was a really great one. I'm confused though about how that could be off script since there is a woman's voice when Mitchell calls the service that unlocks the car. If it was off script how did she suddenly appear? Or are you saying it was off script but the producers liked it so much that they went back and re-did it, adding the woman's voice?

No unscripted moments from seasons 4-11?
Odd.
Worst part is I can't really say anything since it was meta and I never worked on the show.
At best, I could think of a few times characters were cracking or smiling at the wrong time (not counting Claire's evil smiling about death gag; that was a running gag, but not much else.

As someone who for some ungodly reason just started watching this show (and who literally _just_ saw the episode with Cam and the trash can, this is a really random, really great video to see! That show is just amazing, I love it so much already

When she fell on the eggs, as far as I can tell it was a decent fall - kept her head off the ground and didnt brace herself on the wrist. I thought it was somehow a stunt actor because that could have gone badly
reply

Also it makes sense Why the face was unscripted, because they couldnt drop the F Bomb on Modern Family! OmG (Oh my God) Rebecca, I sounded just like you while I was typing that!
reply

No window is safe with Cam around especially if their is a trash can near by.
He did this litterly twice when Lilly was locked in the car and the dry cleaners.

We have a broken step on our back porch and I say gotta fix that step every single time I go by it. At this point I dont even want to fix it, just so I can keep saying it
reply

How could the car seat not be staged at all? I guess they added in the voice on the other line after they shot it but they wouldve had to know that that was coming.
reply

I would have just done more with the sir, please calm down your wife. That's a man, I would have been like WOW, so we know what side he signs on in the chorus.
reply

It's not unscripted if the director asked you to do it. Doesn't matter if it was in the script or not. That basketball scene is not unscripted then.
reply

1: 20 If I am not mistaken, that scene was in the pitch to the studio. I remember one of the producers telling this in an interview.

The egg drop fall will NEVER not make me laugh, sometimes I think about it randomly when I'm in public places and I can barely hold it

Of course Ty Burrell improved most of these scenes, he's just comedic genius. LOVE that he created the birth of the broken step moment.

This show will forever be my comfort show, i go back to it almost every time i finish another show or whenever im feeling upset
reply

what doesnt make sense to me, is that the car scene was improv but how did he know to call someone and how did they time it right
reply

you guys should mention that the co-creator Christopher Lloyd is not the actor Christopher Lloyd from Back to the future
reply

The fact that Ty Burrell had 3 out of 5 entries on the list says a lot about his comedic timing and his improv skills.

Loved this show growing up. Season 8 and 9 were pretty mid. And so was the final season. Still overall an amazing sitcom.
