Fun Wolf facts SPOILERS:
1. the whistle of death is 8 measures/beats long all movie long except for the final fight where it was 9 measures long when he lights up the fire, symbolizing that this is the last fight
2. The whistle of death is played EXACTLY 9 times during the movie
2x during the bar scene
1x during the jack horner chase
1x during the cliff fight
1x during the cave of lost souls
3x during the final fight (when death enters, when he lights the fire and when he leaves)
3. The last time deaths whistle is heard it's not finished, only the first part because death didn't take puss life. It being unfinished is also a nod that death will finish it when they meet again hasta la muerte! (Until death)
4. In the fight with the giant the bell rings 7x during the fight, and 1 more time when it kills puss, taking his 8th life
5. During the bar scene there are 8 empty cups and 1 filled cup which puss is holding symbolizing his last life. Also the candle goes out just before death appears, a callout to the doctor using the candle to show puss died
6. During the jack horner scene death puts two golden coins in his eyes which is a old Egyptian tradition
7. Death can be seen during the death montage in the corner of the cards
8. Death is also seen in the crowds during the giant fight
9. During the cliff fight where puss gets a panic attack, death is standing in a rock that resembles a skull
Fun fact: the VA for death is Brazillian but wasn't used in the brazillian dub. Also there are 9 movie facts here which is more symbolism for puss' lives
This movie was a MASTERPIECE
Watched it 3 times already and everytime I watch i see new things

This is whats missing for Disney. Make a good legacy sequel to some older classic underrated spectacles of the 70s early and late 80s (Great Mouse Detective, Robin Hood, Aristocats and The Recuers Down Under P. S. these are the legacy Disney sequels to those classics that I was wishing for and I want Disney to revisit some old memories/glory days of their underrated spectacles and I wanted Disney to make these legacy continuation sequels happen.
Try something new Disney revisit some spectacles like, the great mouse detective, Aristocats, Robin Hood, the rescuers down under these were all great spectacles, I think theres more stories to tell!

I knew since I saw the trailer, I was going to see a really great movie. But I didn't expect the movie to be so awesome! There were too many WHOA! moments inside the cinema, many reminiscent of those reaction videos about Marvel movies (everybody screaming, laughing, and just not believing what they're watching. It was a great moment.
Also, the fact that in the next room was Avatar 2 playing and people said it wasn't that good was a shocker. And now, Puss in Boots has an Oscar nomination? We just witnessed a masterpiece!

Puss in Boots proved to be the most impressionable installment in the Shrek film series. It may have been a spin-off film, but what made The Last Wish stand out the most other than retaining its humor and charm like before. It had mature and sensitive themes revolving around mortality.
On a side note, since Big Jack Horner is voiced by John Mulaney. Doesn't matter what voice role he takes. He's still Spider-Ham to me.

I love how that movie makes fun of villain tropes. We are taught in modern films that there is good in everyone. Almost all of the characters are villains and are redeemable. But with Jimmony cricket learning that Jack Horner cannot be redeemed no matter how he tries to convince him, it makes that movie so hilarious showing that not everyone can be redeemed and need to be rid of this world.

tbh, as much as i liked the puss and boots movie. it felt more like a good movie and not so much a puss in boots movie. I really dont know where puss even CAN go from here. Will they revert his personal growth in exchange for the hero attitude again? How will his gang click with shreks massive cast already. Id be happier if they let his story rest on a high.

I know how villains can be in movies and TV shows but not if they have a recognizable voice. Jack Horner is not only a good villain but hes voiced by John Mulaney, who voiced Andrew in Big Mouth. Voiced a kid who has problems with his dad and into gross stuff until he voiced a nursery rhyme villain that has a collection of fairy tale stuff to use as weapons

I love this movie sm! Honestly what really did it for me was the animation. Kitty especially looks heeps better to me. I get she doesnt look as feminine but thats what made the design good. She was animated overly feminine in the first movie. But yeah everything about this movies is a 10/10

(7: 50) It's funny. Arthur transformed from being a moody, rebellious young man to a moody troll named Branch.
(8: 29) The audience at my local auditorium had an uproarious laugh out of that entire Perrito scene. Damn. He's got quite an extensive, filthy vocabulary.

I was not expecting it at all, and I thought it was gonna be another cash grab! But then the reviews came in and it made me want to check it out, especially the animation style similar to Into the Spider-verse! Surprisingly, it was really good and fast paced and funny

there are so many cute details like how the unicorns pulling the charriot are missing their horns cause those are crossbow ammo, how the wand is from shrek 2, how death puts coins on his eyes to pay for the ferryman when he gestures i see you, it's just incredible.

I love how Dreamworks imagined Puss in Boots - as a cat version of Zorro. Of course, that's part of the joke, as Antonio Banderas also played Zorro in film. Regardless, Puss in Boots 2 was hilarious. My wife and I were laughing the entire time!
reply

I haven't seen Pinnochio but this film deserves the Oscar. DreamWorks hasn't had a win in over 20 years. Not to mention this is one of the few years where they basically have no competition. I mean, there's no way Turning Reds gonna win
reply

It sounds strange, but it feels like Florence Pugh's entire career has been building towards playing a badass Goldilocks.
Dude, that is the _least_ strange thing about this. Time to start looking for it on streaming, I suppose.

I knew The Last Wish had a similar feel to watching an anime. The stripes you'll see on the side of the screen during running fast is your typical anime running style. Plus it's almost a stop motion style which is very cool.
reply

We shouldn't forget DreamWorks already tested fusion animation 3 years before Spiderman: into the Spider-verse with Peanut's the movie, they also had a mix of 2D and 3D aesthetic to replicate the story books
reply

Wagner Moura was amazing as The Wolf. Unfortunately he didn't dubbed the character in Brazilian Portuguese too, but no problem. Yeah, Puss in Boots - The Last Wish is the sequel we didn't know we wanted!
reply

This movie so deserves the oscar over Pinocchio, but Im worried Pinocchio will still win. Puss in Boots is soooo amazing! Seen it three times in theater even after it came to streaming
reply

I mean if someone told me back then that Puss in Boots would get a sequel a decade later and it'd be one of the best animated movies I've ever seen then I probably would've laughed in their face.
reply

with everyone liking last wish and everyone hating the new velma show, we ended up accomplishing something i personally thought was only possible in movies and tv shows: we agree on something

DreamWorks Animation has owned Disney in 2022! I feel the studio has finally turned around with Bad Guys and the Puss n Boots sequel doing a lot better than Disney and Pixar!
reply

This movie is so much better than avatar where that movie is kept in low income parts of the world just to gain high gross income since it's convenient to them
reply

I heard that it went to streaming, but all I see is that you have to pay about $25-$30 for you to stream it at home, which is more than a movie ticket.
reply

The opening scene of The Last Wish of the Wishing Star and the Dark Forest looks a little bit like live-action.
Who gets goosebumps by Puss's narration?

reply

This and Lego Movie are the movies that i loved ever since the trailer released while the people have a mid reaction until they watched the movie.
reply

This movie goes hard, and it had no right doing that.
Probably one of the new classic animated movies to ever come out.
I'm hyped for Shrek 5.

reply

i already knew all the reasons why i loved puss in boots 2, but i just clicked on this to hear the msmojo narrator lady lol
love her

reply

Even for someone who was looking forward to this film as I felt the first was a bit underrated, I was not expecting it to be THIS good!
reply

Disney needs to learn from DreamWorks in how to make an animated movie. This movie was wildly better than I expected.
reply

Yes I absolutely loved it I just wish the audio description headphones worked I didnt have time to go to the next showing
