I can honestly say, #7 is one I dont recall ever hearing, I have _never_ seen To Have & Have Not, dont plan on it either. I would remove this, it wouldnt even be in the Top 30.
How the hell could you leave off Im gonna make him an offer he cant refuse! While it is not a genre I care about, The Godfather is one of the greatest movies ever made! (And Pacino should have won Best Supporting Actor)
You also left out the most infamous quote from my favorite movie of all timeA census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans & a nice Chianti
I am not a fan of Gone With the Wind but I do not understand how Frankly, my dear, I dont give a damn is not #1! I knew of this quote long before I even learned which movie it came from! I believe this quote _is_ more iconic than Bogarts infamous one from Casablanca, which Im also not big on.
I would replace a number of these with What weve got here is failure to communicate. I love the smell of napalm in the morning, You talkin to me, You cant handle the truth, & If you build it, he will come. Actually, maybe replace the Field of Dreams one with Lou Gehrigs heartbreaking quote that gets me all teary eyed every year, when MLB commemorates it.

It's alive! It's alive Frankenstein (1931)
Well, here's another fine mess you've gotten me into! Sons of the Dessert (1933)
Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you? The Graduate (1967)
Oh, no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was Beauty killed the Beast. King Kong (1933)
Rock, he said, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Gipper. Knute Rockne: All American (1940)

How did you manage to miss I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse? I know that you already had other Brando quotes, but you could have easily made The 10 greatest Marlon Brando Movie quotes. Hmm. Come to think of it. Another amazing actor you managed to not get in at all is Katharine Hepburn. My favorite of hers (though perhaps not her most popular line) is from The Lion In Winter, as she holds up a necklace: I'd hang you from the nipples, but you'd shock the children.

Any Top 10 list that has Casablanca, To Have Or Have Not, Citizen Kane, Gone With The Wind, It's A Wonderful Life, All About Eve, Streetcar, One The Waterfront, Wizard Of Oz and Midnight Cowboy has got to be a good one!
I recommend all these masterpieces of cinema if you haven't seen them yet! They're all well worth watching.

Rhett Butler's iconic final line, Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. Was almost left out of the final cut, because it didn't meet industry standards for swearing in films at the time. Had it been cut, the word damn would have been replaced with straw. I'm glad it stayed the same, as it wouldn't have been nearly as brutal or impactful otherwise.

The Wizard of Oz (1939) and Casablanca (1942) both have wonderful and amazing quotable lines that are so famous and very well preform by talented actors/actress as well.
But I will say this, those two movies along any other movies from the past will always bring the magic and nostalgia for generations to come. And that's no lie!

I wish Oh no it wasn't the airplanes. It was Beauty killed the Beast from King Kong was on this list.
To me that is the most iconic final line in a 1930s film.
Carl Denham distraught Kong died, indirectly said it was through Kong's love for Ann Darrow that lead to his demise.

I remember when I was a junior in high school my English teacher had us watch Gone With The Wind. I remember when Rhett Butler said his famous line at the end we all got a big kick out of it! She did explain to us about the Hays code and how even the D word was scandalous!

You left out some favorites. Mae West: Why don't you come up and see me; Arnold: I'll be back; Strother Martin: What we have here is a failure to communicate; May the force be with you; Clint Eastwood: Go ahead, make my day.

One underrated movie that didnt make this list is Sunset Boulevard. Alright, Mr. DeMille. Im ready for my close-up. Or Im big. Its the pictures that got small. Every line that Gloria Swanson uttered in that movie is iconic.

I very much enjoyed this list. Especially noting the number of entries actually licensed by Warner Bros. Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Wizard of Oz, Citizen Kane and others. It just shows how immense that film library is.

I would have chosen George's brother's toast: to my brother, the richest man in town, from It's a Wonderful Life.
Also, I would have also chosen Tomorrow is another day, from Gone with the Wind.

I use many quotes from Back to the Future, Beetlejuice, and many others. One of my favorites is (when referring to a boring book or workplace manual) it reads like stereo instructions. lol

I thought Frankly my dear would be #1.
Every time that moment played in the theater, everybody applauded. Also it was the one line to get past the Hayes code at the time

Thank you for sticking with classic (old) Hollywood films. The youngest one was Midnight Cowboy, 1969. This film has one of the very best sound tracks of all time.

Absolutely love the Wizard of Oz. There are for sure some major hard hitters in this list. I wonder if we can watch more black and white movies on streaming platforms.

I don't think Rosebud is iconic in the way the others are. It's not quoted that often. Sunset Blvd should be on there instead.
