What are you talking about John and Jackie Kennedy were probably the most loved people in human history! Why arent they #1? They were loved by millions and millions of people World Wide and known about worldwide and accomplished that without being taught about in a history book or a class! When John was assassinated the Whole World mourned!

The famous couples in history that I found interesting were Frida Khalo and Diego Rivera, Mildred and Richard Loving, and Sereste Khama and Ruth Williams(more so those last two. The Lovings and Khamas prove that love knows no boundaries and created the right for people to love who they want regardless of ethnicity.

I have not heard of many of these couples. For example, I know about the Taj Mahal, but not about the couple and how she inspired it. If I did hear about it earlier in my life I promptly forgot about them.

Cleopatra and Mark Anthony might be the closest thing to a real life Romeo and Juliet we've ever had. In both the good, and the bad ways. Fitting, as both are Shakespeare plays.

Some of these couples here are not famous at all. Some of the couples I'm now finding out about. Others like Jackie and President Kennedy should have been higher.

As a president, JFK was a success. But as a husband, he was a failure. Jackie was beautiful, intelligent, elegant and had class, but he still cheated on her.

I immediately thought of Burton and Taylor for this list. They had such an epic love affair, which assured that it would never be forgotten by history.
