Ive liked Rob Paulsen for voicing Donatello in the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tv show, Carl Wheezer in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius, and Stanley Ipkiss/The Mask in The Mask: Animated Series.
Ive liked Jim Cummings in many different Disney-related media, starting with The Lion King when he voiced Ed. Ive learned like his voice over as Winnie the Pooh and Tigger.
The wonderful thing about tiggers
Is tiggers are wonderful things
Their tops are made out of rubber
Their bottoms are made out of springs
Their bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncing, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun
But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is Im the only one
Im the only one
Ive liked Frank Welker for voicing Abu and Rajah in Aladdin, Megatron and Soundwave in the Transformers franchise, and Fred Jones and Scooby-Doo in the Scooby-Doo franchise.
Ive known Grey DeLisle for her voice over work as Daphne Blake in the Scooby-Doo franchise, Frankie Foster in Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends, and Vicky in The Fairly OddParents.
Tara Strong has voiced the titular character, Ben Tennyson, on my favorite childhood cartoon tv show, Ben 10.

This was a great list, but I wish Paul Winchell was on here. He's done Tigger, Gargamel, puppet characters [Jerry Mahoney, Knucklehead Smith, etc. ], and various mascots [especially the 1970s incarnation of Jack from Jack In The Box. There's three animated 1970s JITB ads, as well as the comics, most notably Where Oil Comes From, and you can definitely tell Paul Winchell did Jack's voice. Heck, he voiced ALL of the Jack In The Box Bunch]. Paul also invented the artificial heart. I also wish Michael Bell was on the list, as he did a lot of Hanna Barbera characters [most notably Mark from Speed Buggy, Allstar from the Snorks, and several Smurfs characters, most notably Grouchy Smurf and Johan], and tons of different cartoon characters.

I'm sorry where's Peter Cullen, Tom Kenney, Jack Black, Bill Farmer, Robin Williams and Mark Hamill on this list? in my opinion you can't top Mel Blanc, Peter Cullen, Jim Cummings, Bill Farmer, and Frank Welker those 5 names I mentioned are the kings of voice acting they've been do voices for a long time and those 5 actors I said are on my Mount Rushmore of voice actors so I mentioned 6 voice actors that the greatest of all time and some of the ones I mentioned didn't even get a honorable mention?
reply

June Foray should be higher on the list than #7. Also, no mention of her work on Rocky and Bullwinkle, in which she voiced pretty much every female character who showed up?
Also, while I have plenty of love and respect for Tara Strong, Mel Blanc deserves the top spot. I mean, look at the length and breadth of his career.
One more nitpick: Paul Frees, star of Rocky & Bullwinkle, countless Rankin/Bass specials, and the classic Haunted Mansion ride, deserves at least an honorable mention.

reply

I think Jim Cummings should have been number one. Not only can he do many speaking voices, but can sing as another character. I did not know till many years later that Christopher Lloyd did not sing In the Dark of the Night in Anastasia as Rasputin. To me, it sounded just like Christopher Lloyd singing the part. He also sang the villain song in The Lion King, sounding completely different than in Anistasia.

Thank you for highlighting actors who make their living doing VO work! They are truly at the top of their game. Actors & writers are currently on strike over fair wages & revised contract agreements, & it's videos like this that make you remember that successful actors are not JUST the ones you know from big movies or television series. It spans across many platforms & types of performances: )

Would love to see Hynden Walch make one of these lists or at least be an honorable mention. Her range is mind blowing she can play someone who sounds sweet like Starfire from teen titans to a psychopath such as Harley Quinn and Breach from Generator Rex. It may not sound like a lot of characters but its still crazy.

While I do love all your voice actor choices on this list, I don't see any love for Charlie Adler. That man is a titan of voice acting. Cow and Chicken was basically his one-man show as well, and that's just scratching the surface.
Also, no Maurice LaMarche or Cree Summer? You're gonna need a bigger list.

reply

Why was Paul Freese not in this list! Boris Badenov will track you down and drop a safe on you!
He was the golden trio of classic voice actors! Mel Blanc, June Foray and Paul Freese!
And you guys didn't mention Frank Wlekers work as Baby Kermit and Skeeter in the classic Muppet Babies series!

There are a number missing in this list. This list is incomplete. Stan Freberg, Paul Frees, Daws Butler, Pinto Colving, Clarence Nash, Bill Scott, MauriceLaMarche, Verna Felton, Hal Smith, Corey Burton, Bea Benaderet, James MacDonald, Dallas McKennon, and Paul Winchell are missing. And several others

Mel Blanc should've won smh

1. Mel Blanc
2. June Foray
3. Frank Welker
4. Tom Kenny
5. Bill Farmer
6. E. G. Daily
7. Tress MacNeille
8. Jim Cummings
9. Rob Paulsen
10. Tie for Dee Bradley Baker & Keven Michael Richardson

A solid list however id put Mel Blanc in number 1 and Frank Welker at number 2 mainly because of the sheer number of voices they have done compared to the rest on this list. Id also swap Seth Mcfarlane and Matt Stone as Matt has far more versatility in his voices.
reply

what about Mark Hamill? he was the Joker in so many Batman animated
TV series. he also played the scientist Skeksis in Dark Crystal: Age of
Resistance. he also voiced Fire Lord Ozai in Avatar the Last Airbender.
Mark Hamill should have been on the list.

reply

All love to Tara but Mel Blanc not #1? C'mon now. And how on earth was Tress the only Simpsons representation on this list? Dan, Hank, Harry, and Nancy all deserve a spot, too. Jim Cummings should be much higher. But I'm glad to see Seth here. I adore him.
reply

As much as I LOVE Tara Strong's range, I still think Mel Blanc should've taken the top spot. I mean, the guy recorded his lines while in a hospital bed and even came out of a coma while doing his Bugs Bunny voice. That's not only talent, but dedication.
reply

Yet another top ten list that should've been a top twenty. You could've also included Kath Soucie, Corey Burton, Tony Jay, Tim Curry, Jeff Bennett, Peter Cullen, Thurl Ravenscroft, Nancy Cartwright, Phil Hartman, and Vincent Price.
reply

Another honorable mention I would add is Phil Lamarr.
Samurai Jack, John Stewarts Green Lantern, Virgil Hawkins (Static, Bolbi from Jimmy Neutron, Conrad Hermes in Futurama, Dracula in Grim Adventures, the man has some range.

reply

#1 is so disappointing. I get they chose a woman because it's msmojo, but if not mel Blanc, you'd think it'd be billy west. And if you're going to choose a woman, Tress McNeil belongs higher on this list than their top pick.
reply

Seth McFarlane has three voices. That space could have been filled so much better. Same with Seth Green.
What's the matter, why not throw Seth Rogan on for good measure since he's got so much range? Round out your Seths

reply

Mel Blanc should have been number one as most people recognise his name compared to Tara Strong (who I have never heard of until I saw this video. Blanc was also the inspiration for many voice actors who followed him.
reply

Tara Strong will always be my favorite girl. I got to meet her and her husband at ComicCon and she was such a sweetheart! And I love Seth Macfarlane's voice acting, but I like his singing a lot more.
reply

How are you going to forget Don messick the original voice of Scooby-Doo he voiced
BOOBOO THE BEAR
ASTRO FROM THE JETSONS
PAPA SMURF
Bam Bam
RANGER SMITH
Scrappy-Doo

reply

Another white washed Mojo list. The disrespect to Phil LaMarr, Cree Summer, and Keith David. And also CREE SUMMER! This was just pathetic. Come on, they didn't even get an honorable mention!
reply

I got to meet Billy West in June at a con near Tacoma, Washington and hes incredibly kind, generous and funny. His Stimpy helped me laugh in some really difficult times in my life.
reply

When you talk about Kevin Michael Richardson, you simply cannot leave out his performances as Shredder in TMNT 2012 and Bulkhead in Transformers Prime and Robots in Disguise
reply

How about Robin Williams, Phil Hartman, Eddie Murphy, Jack Black, Jason Alexander, Kevin Michael Richardson, Chris Rock and Kevin Hart they are also talent voice actors too.
reply

Might be my bias but should've included Matt Chapman. Dude seriously single-handedly voice acted the entire cast of Homestar Runner
edit: except Marzipan but still

reply

How is Mel Blanc not number 1? And Peter Cullen isnt on this list! Needs a part 2. Tara Strong sounds like she terrific but she should be number 2 and not number 1.
reply

Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, Michael Bell, Charlie Adler, Mel Blanc, Ed Gilbert, Morgan Lofting, Melendy Britt, B. J. Ward, Linda Gary, Susan Blu, and Tara Strong.
