I can't believe this! You bring in the movie Can't Buy me Love (a great movie) but you leave out one of the greatest teen movies (in my opinion) ever. Some Kind of Wonderful? Why? That move was very well acted, had a great soundtrack, great storyline, and introduced us to Mary Stuart Masterson. I do not understand why almost every list that talks about teen movies leaves this movie out. I did see one list that included it as one of the top 10 best 80's teen movies.

In what way(s) is Mean Girls unique, groundbreaking, outstanding etc? I don't see it. It's above average, but I can't see what's special about it. It didn't popularise or advance anything. The fashions were already fairly common & previously shown in Jawbreaker & The Hot Chick.

While I think mean girls was a fantastic movie, I dont think its the number one teen movie of all time. Honestly 10 things I hate about you should have been first. I also think that Leonardo DiCaprios Romeo and Juliet should not be anywhere near this list.

I know it's not a very popular choice, but one of my all time favourite movies is disney's Lemonade Mouth. For me, it's one of the best DCOMs because I think the charcaters and the movie plot are pretty relatable. And also, what an awsom soundtrack

Now, I admit top-10 or top-20 lists are impossible, let alone top-100.
Having said that, when making a list of top-100 teen movies, you might not have it at 1, or maybe not even top-5 or top-10. But theres no way that American Pie is at #60!

As a teen, I found it weird to watch actors in their mid-20's playing 16 year olds. Now I find it very, very troubling. The whole genre is cliche and stale.
