Disney does have many very emotional scenes: 1The Mufasa's death broke my heart, plus the feeling of lump in my throat that makes me see Simba desperately trying to wake him up, his body motionless, until he recoils in terror without knowing what to do and without any help, I always felt much sadness for Simba, I too as a child wanted him to wake up so badly; In Coco, I got a bittersweet sad feeling when I saw the Coco's picture in the altar but at the same time she re-meets with her dad after a lot of years, also I feel hapiness for Hector who can finally cross the bridge with them and their family; Also now more when Andy says goodbye to his toys, his childhood adventure partners, playing for the last time with them, it's moving because he is saying goodbye to his childhood, really reaches my heart; The same Inside Out, I don't know what I felt, for Riley lost in her internal pain and how everything was happening inside her mind, and more when Bing Bong sacrifices himself and he is forgotten; and as a child it made me sad when Dumbo visiting his mother and how she wanted to see him but remember she is chained and then gets me how she rocks him with her trunk while listening Baby mine

I lived in extreme western NY. Grew up on Canadian television. We didn't have any other way to watch television than antenna. 22 miles across lake Erie. Got better reception over the water than over the hills.
Years of watching antenna tv as there was no cable where I lived.
I worked in a call center and was accused of being from Minnesota or Upper Michigan.
There is also the Buffalo accent lol. Mind you I graduated from Community college in the Buffalo area but highly doubt 2 years embbed that one.

Goodness, I remember tearing up in so many of these films. Ironically, the #1 spot never got to me. I think it has something to do with cats and it doesn't seem as realistic portrayal to me or the fact that ive never had a close relationship with father. But Dumbo and his mom cradling him from a locked up train definitely produced more tears for me. Poor baby. Another Disney favorite I like is Triton's speech with Sebastian and then letting Ariel go. Cue the music and the tissues for me there.

Optimus Prime's death - The original Transformers Movie.
I was 5 years old and watched my Saturday morning HERO. killed and die right in front of my eyes.
One of the first movies I ever seen.
The first time death was introduced to me.
All to introduce some other toy line. I am still legit shoot mad just a bit and Judd Nelson and Hot Rod.
It's always Perceptor. 'I'm afraid his wounds are fatal. '
'Till the day. till all are one. '
Tears. every time.

I think the most emotional part of Titanic is after Rose lets go of Jack and she calls to the boat but they don't hear her and she has to gather all her strength and jump into the freezing water, find the whistle and blow with her limited remaining strength to get the boat to come back, the courage, i cried my eyes out.

I know Ive felt the pain of loosing a beloved pet. Wasnt mine but it was family. When my uncle was alive, he had a dog named Little Bear. He passed away from overeating and my best friends dog, Missy passed away from old age. I loved both of those dogs. Ill never forget them

I have to disagree with #10. Bing-Bong's ending didn't make me cry. It was poignant, but it didn't hit me (and I'm a classic movie crier. What did it for me in that movie was Riley's confession to her parents at the end. THAT makes me sob uncontrollably every single time.

This is like the millionth time you put Lion King at the top spot. Why won't you ever stop doing that? Why are you always so afraid of being less predictable and more original with your choices and especially rankings? Guess that's just a habit of yours.

1 I would actually put M'Lynn grieving over Shelby from Steel Magnolias at number two instead of on the honorable mentions
2. For the top spot, I'd do Sophie's Choice where she is forced to choose which one goes to the gas chamber

I lost my grandpa just over a year ago at the age of 98. The song remember me always makes me think of him & reminds me that hes never really all that far away & that he lives on not just in my memories but in my heart as well.

The end of Wizard of Oz when Dorothy says, oh Auntie Em, theres no place like home.
And the end of Zeferellis Romeo and Juliet. Never has there been a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo. Music swells.

I dont understand how The Color Purple and Steel Magnolias were only honorable mentions and that Imitation of Life was not even on the list, Toy Story, ET, and Titanic could have been left off in my opinion

I feel like animated movies could make it's own list.
In Big Hero 6 Hiro watches Tadashi's video message is a good moment on the topic.

Sally Fields range is CRAZY man. Even in Mrs Doubtfire I was always AMAZED by how she can just SNAP into 5 different emotions in one monologue.
