were looking at actors from the Wizarding World who have sadly passed away, but we can always find them in here. Our countdown includes Michael Gambon, Helen McCrory, John Hurt, and more! Which Harry Potter actor will never leave YOU?

Speaking of Robbie Coltrane, when he and Dame Angela Lansbury died in October 2022, I practically accused Microsoft Edge of disrespecting the Wikipedia Necrologies. And I've been checking up on Wikipedia since 2014.
I have a new laptop from the ASUS brand, and it has been malfunctioning since I bought it.
As such, 2022 was an absolute roller coaster ride, as celebrity deaths like American actor William Hurt ended up erased from my memory, and my parents had trouble honoring Sesame Street actor Emilio Delgado.
So now I am convinced to turn to you for advice.

I teared up as you listed these actors off. Especially Richard Harris and Robbie Coltrane. My parents knew them from their older works, but my sister and I were introduced to them in these landmark movie series. My Dad may have known Coltrane as one of the robbers in Nuns on the Run, but I will ALWAYS know him as the big-hearted (literally) Rubeus Hagrid. Thank you for releasing this video. HP is my favourite movie series ever, even beating out Star Wars, and every one of these actors made the stories some of the most powerful in cinema history

I was sad when Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane died because i had this fantasy of what I'd say to them if i met them at a convention. I'd tell Robbie how Hagrid had always been my favorite character and he'd probably appreciate that enough to hug me like he used to hug his younger costars. I was going to tell Rickman something i will say right now: By Grabthar's Hammer, You Shall be Avenged!

Robbie Coltrane reminded me so much of my late grandfather. When my grandfather passed away, I turned to watching Harry Potter for comfort. Seeing Hagrid on screen always made me smile. When I found out Robbie had passed away, I started breaking down crying because it was like losing my grandfather all over again. It still hurts me, but I love watching Hagrid scenes to make me smile.

Robbie Coltrane's passing hit me the hardest, and it's hard to believe it's been almost a year since his death.
He embodied the role of Rubeus Hagrid trumendously, similar to that of the entire cast.
It's heartbreaking to realize that more and more cast members of these movies that I grew up with are sadly leaving this world. R. I. P to all these actors and actresses.

I grew up with a lot these actors from my childhood. Thanks to my mum and grandparents, i had the privilege of seeing some of there better roles in movies and TV but the death that hits me most is McCrory's death. She fought so bloody hard but the cancer won in the end leaving her two young children motherless.

You know how Neville Longbottoms Boggart in Prisoner Of Azkaban appeared as Professor Snape? Well, funny story about that- Matthew Lewis really was intimidated by Alan Rickman and Rickman scared Lewis on a few occasions. And yes, Rickman really did dress up in womens clothing for the Boggart class scene

Alan Rickman has been one of my favorites for years! The outlaw Josey Wales, die hard, and Robin Hood. amazing. the caterpillar in the Alice in wonderland movie. I can go on and on of course. Let's hope, as Dumbledore says, to the well educated mind, death is but the next great adventure!

I wasn't into the Harry Potter movies until 2 years ago when Lego did hogwarts moments sets, and that got me into watching the movies. Still, the one passing that hits hard is Alan Rickman because just like Kevin Conroy as batman, no one will ever do a better Snape then Rickman.

I love Harry Potter and I miss all the actors and Ill never forget Michael Gambon, Robbie Coltrane, John Hurt and Alan Rickman even though the role I associate them the most with are The Gruffalo ( Coltrane) Snape ( Rickman ) Owl ( Hurt ) and Franklin Bean ( Gambon )

All of them are upsetting but Alan Rickman and Robbie Coltrane arebthe ones that really made me devastated. Robbie Coltrane WAS Hagrid and although I think Alan Rickman was too old to play Snape I loved him in the part and he was one of my all time favourite actors.

It is a shame that Robert Knox was not mentioned. 18 year old Knox was stabbed to death in May 2008. He intervened in a fight to protect his 17 year old brother Jamie, who was being threatened by a man armed with 2 kitchen knives. Now, here's an example of love.

Dumbledore gave my favorite line in the series Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times; if only one remembers to turn on the light. Because we have all had those dark times in our lives and couldn't believe that we got through it.

I admit I sometimes imagine Snape replacing Doctor Octopus in a Harry Potter multiversal movie parodying Spider-Man No Way Home and I honestly can't imagine other actor playing Snape despite knowing Alan Rickman died

I remember learning of Alan Rickman's passing. I had only been dating my fiance for about 3 months and I woke up to him on the phone. He told me you wouldn't believe who passed away I said who he said our Snape

Alan Rickman, Richard Harris, Robbie Coltrane and Michael Gambon are the ones that emotionally hurt me the most.
They have always been some of my favorite childhood actors.
I will miss them alot.

reply

Oh god so now that Micheal Gambon has tragically died we are going to have to go through repetitive passed on actors videos with just Gambon being the new addition, he deserves more recognition than that

5: 32 Hurt also played Winston Smith in a 1984 film production of George Orwell's _Nineteen Eighty-Four, _ and also portrayed the _Elephant Man_ and the War Doctor from _Doctor Who. _

Even though Daniel Radcliffe didnt name his real child Michael Alan Radcliffe, it was sweet his character named his child Albus Severus Potter. I almost cried when I heard that name
reply

Always. That single word, that immortal line, delivered to perfection by Alan Rickman, will be for me the greatest moment in any of the films. RIP to all those we have lost.
reply

I might not be here forever but Hagrid will be here. Robbie Coltrane said that in the reunion show and well that hit hard: (
Also true for the other great actors we lost.

reply

Robbie, I even have Cracker on DVD. But I was fortunate enough to see Richard Harris, live, in his last turn as King Arthur in Camelot at the Masonic Temple in Detroit.

Every name in this list - whether they played human or creature, Muggle or magic, witch or wizard, good or evil - deserves a raised wand tribute with a Lumos Maxima.
reply

I best remember Robert Hardy as Robert Dudley in the series Elizabeth R with Glenda Jackson. To my 16-year-old self, this was the height of romance.
reply

Wow, I didnt realize so many had died. I could only think of the two Dumbledore actors, Alan Rickman, the guy who played Hagrid, and Rob Knox.
reply

My heart broke when we lost Alan. Despite being the bad guy in Die Hard, I absolutely loved Hans Gruber. And I loved him even more as Snape.
reply

Richard Harris is the best Dumbledore. Michael Gambon did great on his take as Dumbledore! Both amazing actors and will be forever missed.
reply

Ive loved the Harry Potter movies since I was a kid. I was crushed to hear Alan Rickman, Michael Gambon and Robbie Coltrane passed away
reply

The in memoriam of this franchise is easily a who's-who of great British actors. All will be missed, but all will be with us forever.
