I remember Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry used to be out all year long but now they only out around fall seasons months like September and October and in 2013 they revived Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy once and they discontinued them again in 2014 not to revived again. It now sucks that they change the recipe of these monsters cereal and only having them around September and October. I wished they have them all year around again.

Too bad the writers of this piece found it difficult to leave the 80s. Plenty of excellent cereals went extinct in the 70s, like Quakers Quisp. Sure you can still purchase specialty boxes but if it aint at Albertsons, its not anywhere mentality, its extinct. Most likely because it was essentially a flattened disk shaped version of Captain Crunch.

Am I showing my age, when I ask does anyone remember SHREDDED WHEAT?
it came two in a square or rectangular box, and resembled cylinder shaped steel wool.
To eat it, you had to take one out, and crush or break it into halfs, pour milk, sugar, maybe fruit,
And eat crunchy goodness!

I am thinking of a cereal in the 80's. Waffle cereal with a funny name was one of those. Something like waffellos. And the other was from Dunkin Donuts. It was powdered white donuts that melted in your mouth. Also, cookie crisp tasted waaaay better. HELP

Does anyone remember Nutley's cereal and Nutley's peanut butter bars? They were popular in the 60s through the 90s. The brand was discontinued in 2003 after a scandal came out involving the 21 year old son of the owner of Nutley's and a 14 year old boy.

Edit: Poptart cereal is BACK. It; s not even marketed as a revival product, but it looks like the photo portrayed. And tastes like poptart, legit. I wasn't, um. born. But this muddy-buddy reminscent cereal is edible heaven.

I remember the TMNT cereal! At one time, they came with an actual TMNT cereal bowl! I had ALL four of the TMNT bowls, which my youngest cousin LOVED to use when he visited me in the Twin Cities!

I just saw a Pop-Tart cereal in Walmart yesterday! Here's hoping it's just as good. Also, Malt-O-Meal brand cereal has an awesome Smores cereal.

What about Buc-Wheats? That was a great cereal until Big G replaced the maple flavor with a so-so honey coating.
