Try that in a small town. The song needs a disclaimer - as long as you think like me, act like me. Otherwise we got a problem. I've lived here for 30 years and still get harrassed for my liberal views. Put a sign in front of my restaurant saying Everyone welcome and would see locals debating if they should come in or not. I mean, everyone could mean everyone, lol. Had a BLM rally (mostly white people) and they set up big guns on roofs and just shouted the nastiest stuff at us. Just awful, narrow minded people. Prior to 2015 I thought we were making headway, people here seemed more open minded, tolerant. Trump changed all that.

I agree to disagree with all entries, including Like a Prayer on the number 1 spot. If you overlook Madonna's Justify My Love Like a Virgin live from The Blonde Ambition Tour and the uncensored cut of Erotica I'm sorry, we clearly have different definitions of controversial. Not to mention the original video for American Life. All those videos are works of art that did spark real controversy, probably still now. Your list should have been called something like Videos with Poor Taste or Vulgar or just Insulting. Other than this I generally love your content.

Both Madonna, Eminem and Kanye were always controversial along their whole career because some of their lyrics and videos. However they were always very praised by fans and colleagues. I think that it's part of their attitude. They want to stress certain things that result annoying to them and are part of the society and nobody dares to talk about it because those are sensitive themes. But, they can do it because of their Celebrity Status.

If you think that Blurred Lines video had mostly naked women in it, you are living on another planet. They are clothed like MOST women in these kinds of videos and all the naughty parts of their bodies are covered up. LMAO. And EVERY video ever made can have SOMETHING scandelous or controversial about it if you nit pick it enough.

3: 03 -- Her Single Ladies song might be among the most iconic of the 2000s decade and I personally can't resist doing that whole God liked Saturn so He put a ring on it deal. but there's nothing special about her video AT ALL. I could maybe see it being top 25 of the 2000s decade but one of the best videos of all time? NO CHANCE.

Though there's a ton of content that qualifies for this list, I was gonna have some strong words if Like A Prayer wasn't included. Lo and behold, it's #1. :) She sparked a lot of controversy back then from the conservatives, lol. Papa Don't Preach also caught hell for glorifying unwed teen pregnancy.

This song Montero was the reason why I practically cut ties from Lil Nas X for good. Say that you will about these LGBT+ themes in this song but it's just simply demonic for me to listen to. I'm sorry, the music video is just way too disturbing for me to even sit through.
