we’re taking a deep dive into Mary Shelley’s masterpiece, Frankenstein, for our MsMojoNotes series! Our video includes Mary Shelley, Mary Wollstonecr, John William Polidori, and more I like MsMojo Notes. Hopefully, there are many more videos on classics like this (e. g. Dracula, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde etc. Just don't focus on the classics. I do recommend videos on Looking for Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta, The Rose Code by Kate Quinn, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay.

I also wonder why people confused the monster with Frankenstein, now i know, Victor Frankenstein was the real monster in this story. Victor creates the creature, abandons him, and when he is confronted with his creation, he outright states that he hates it and regrets ever creating it. He also decided to keep his mouth shut during Justine's trial because he was afraid that if he said that what really killed his brother was something he created, he would look guilty, so he decides to let an innocent woman die just so that he wouldn't get in trouble. Victor Frankenstein in the book doesn't own up to his mistakes, is convinced he is the victim in this situation (when in reality it was the creature) and is just all around a bad person.

Not to mention Guillermo del Toro's upcoming feature film of Mary Shelly's novel. With the likes of Jacob Elordi as the creature and Oscar Isaac as his creator, along side Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz. Del Toro's Frankenstein will come to life probably next year on Netflix.

The biggest take away I had from the book was.
How dangerous the pursuit of knowledge can be. How it can taint the soul and heart even when your trying to help the world. As a lifelong learner nothing has taught me that more than Frankenstein

the book is a pretty interesting read if you can get past the archaic language the goriest movie I've seen on the frankenstein theme was andy warhol's frankenstein in 1974 haven't watched anything more gruesome before or since

While I have seen several adaptations of Frankenstein, the most remembered lines are from the Mel Blanc version, Young Frankenstein. It's so wrong in everything that it's perfect.

I've always felt badly for the Frankenstein Monster.
He just needed a friend. He needed someone to be kind to him.
Especially Boris Karloff's version.
