INSANE RULES!
1. Basic mental evaluation
2. STD tests
3. Basic temporary NDA and Non compete
4. Consenting to being filmed on a reality show
5. Giving back the free engagement ring if you break up
6. Only 2 suitcases
7. The mansion has no A. C (that isn't a rule)
8. Prepare your own food provided for you
Do you not know what insane means? Feels like you only had a couple of actually crazy rules (no entertainment, p word, no eating on dates) but had to pad out the list with nonsense

I think it is absolutely outrageous to include herpes in the STD testing. They lose nearly 80% of applicants that way (there are more positive silent carriers than there are people who are negative) and it does nothing but increase the stigma by eliminating every 4 in 5 people. It should absolutely be the decision of the bachelor/ette to decide whether they even care about someone being positive or not. They should find out through the tests, and then they should disclose some time along the way.

Some of these dont seem insane at all.
Getting a physical and mental exam, and having to do their own chores sounds pretty smart to me. And most shows have a contractual obligation to the broadcasting company.
That said, no AC in the summer, no books/entertainment, no eating on dinner dates, and being forced to do things you dont want to and/or are afraid to do is absolutely ridiculous.

Most likely psychological eval. is designed to look for people that are not the most stable people, more than weeding out bad ones. They need drama and tears, rational person would just ruin the show. I mean normal people are not really lining up for the show anyway.
reply

A lot of these are pretty standard to reality tv shows like this, like the physical/psychological examinations, being excluded from phones, not eating on camera, light packing, and cooking and cleaning for your self. Similar to what they do on Drag Race

The no eating clip was my favorite bc the guy just couldnt comprehend why they were at a restaurant w real food on the table but not allowed to eat. He clearly just wasnt having it and his protestations were hilarious.
and he wasnt gonna let it go.

reply

Funny cause as I started typing this they somewhat started showing it. Anyways John Paul Jones actually ate the food on the date and he said it tasted so unnatural and nasty he started to puke
reply

As someone who, if STILL single in a couple years, might audition for the bachelor because yes, I am that desperate, I feel like this is good for me to know.

The word Process was said on this week's episode in one of the interviews with one of the girls, I forgot who. But I remembered this video and I was like whaaaaaat!
reply

In this season, Peter always says I trust this process lmao so thats a lie or Peter ignores rules. cough giving Kelsey a rose before the Rose ceremony. cough

Never watched never wanted to. Just not my cup of tea. Not big on reality tv, although once upon a time I used to watch the real world on mtv back in the day.
reply

That is an unhealthy af and toxic environment designed the create drama. The producers are doing everything to stress the mind. No books? Come on
reply

i dont find 10 insane because putting someone with a mental illness in this kind of, lets be honest, toxic environment it probably wont go well
reply

One of the Bachelors, Arie, ate on like every date, and the girls wouldn't. Even funnier now knowing it's a rule and he just didn't care
reply

if theyre not allowed to be on other abc shows after and kaitlyn wasnt allowed to be on dwts then. why is hannah brown on there now?
reply

Makes you wonder how flimsy that evaluation is because some of these people should probably never have been put in this environment.
reply

I'd turn down an offer to go on the show for the no AC rule. I keep my house set at 63 degrees 24/7 year round even during the winter.
reply

A couple of these rules make sense but the rest are just bizarre? Especially the no media/entertainment and no eating on dates rules?
reply

So they cant eat the date food for the sake of our ears, but we have to suffer through the sounds of them making out and moaning.
reply

I call BS on the prohibition of the p
word.

Peter tells Kelley to TRUST THE PROCESS.

reply

None of these rules are insane they all have a purpose. Especially the tests they do, psychology and physical.
reply

Well. I could never be on the show at all if they dont turn the ac on. I'd just be a big old ball of sweaty mess
reply

And this brings up the question, why in the hell would anyone want to be on either of these two shows? hahaha!
reply

the A. C part. like 20 girls in a competition in the house sweating like crazy sounds like a tough war to me
reply

Its gross to think the one person theyre all fighting for is sleeping around with several of them. Yuck.
reply

The food rule would piss me off. If I'm hungry, I'M EATING. And I'm not drinking on an empty stomach.
