The term Debbie Downer did not originate in 2004 from a Saturday Night Live skit. I remember it being used as a kid, and I'm in my late 60s. But the SNL character, played brilliantly by Rachel Dratch, did bring the term to light for a new generation.

I have never heard cromulent before (and apparently YT hasn't either since it's putting a red squiggly line under it) and the only time I've heard embiggen was from another video about words coined by TV shows. XD

spam or spamming isnt just unsolicited messages. it can also mean just using one move repeatedly in video games.
ie. just doing guile's sonic boom in street fighter.

I remember being surprised when I looked up nimrod and learned it meant great hunter. I was one of those kids who had watched a lot of Bugs Bunny.

Friend zone was commonly used well before the Friends TV show. I remember hearing it in the 1980's and it probably existed long before that.

The Big Bad is the name given to the villains of that season.
