Just for the record, the Lucy & Ethel tried many jobs at Kramer's Kandy Kitchen. Job Switching was episode 39 of I Love Lucy. The conveyer belt was their final job, and a lot of people believe the episode is called The Candy Factory, but sadly, it is not. To me, Fred & Ricky where just as funny, if not more funny, staying home and doing the cooking and cleaning. Fred with his flat 7 layer cake, and Ricky & Fred in the kitchen when all the tons of rice started spilling out of the pots onto the floor causing Ricky to fall on the floor several times. The falls were unscripted but after the first fall, Desi continued to do it over and over because the audience was eating it up!

The ending of Time Enough At Last was definitely one that my dad commiserated when he first saw it.
It was the one episode that got under his skin as a bibliophile.
Granted, I also commiserate with the character. But not on the same level since the twist was already well known the first time I saw it.

Changed TV forever
When Marshall, Will and Holly exited The Land of the Lost through that portal, and a duplicate Marshall, Will and Holly went over the waterfall to take their place. Think about that for a moment and try not to go insane.

Ellen coming out on TV was less impressive than the backlash. People called in and mailed in threats. Ratings tanked.
The American public made it clear you can't be out of the closet and famous and successful. You're gonna suffer.

The Luke and Laura wedding hasn't aged well as Luke had raped Laura previously (and General Hospital has tried to address this. The wedding also famously had Elizabeth Taylor show up playing the villianess Helena Cassadine.

Okay, you clearly missed the point of the Newhart finale. It was NOT a wraparound universal wormhole ending.
It was a (ahem) parody of Dallas's Pam's dream explanation for resurrecting Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy.

Kirk kissing Uhura didn't change shit on TV. A lot of bigots whined but that was it. Nothing changed. A better analogy would have been that Star Trek itself changed TV for all the new ideas it proposed.

Ellen wasn't funny. It tried to find an audience. It just wasn't funny. Interesting that Kunta spoke an understood English. Even though he was African. Everyone ignores the assalt of Luke on Laura.

The fact that the world fell in love with a couple where the groom. raped the bride is mind boggling. Can you imagine even the thought of such a concept now. Times have really changed

The thing about Luke and Lauras wedding that was so offputting. Was that Luke had raped Laura. That kind of bothered me. Not sure it bothered anyone else. Apparently it didn’t.

It's a bigger scandal on modern day television to see a hetero, same race kiss. So many boxes have to be ticked that modern shows are pretty unwatchable for me.

Friends changed TV forever by cementing the dumb horse-shit vapid shallow agenda Hollywood has been slowly pushing on America for about 60 years.
