These projects were in the works but were unfortunately cancelled before they saw the light of day. Thats not to say that weve forgotten about them! If youre a true Disney fan you may have heard of these projects: The Search for Mickey Mouse, Yellow Submarine, Fraidy Cat, The Gremlins, Darkwing Duck: The Movie, Dumbo II, Newt and Roger Rabbit: The Toon Platoon

I mostly agree with that number 2 pick, Roger rabbit the Toon Platoon. In fact, I have a list of movies that I think Disney should have made in the past of which some should have made great follow-ups to Who Framed Roger rabbit:
1 Roger Rabbit Crusade of the Valiants (in 1995)
2 Mickey Meets the Muppets (in 1989)
3 Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express (in the same year)
4 A Muppet Midsummers Nights Dream (in 1994)
5 Marina Queen of Atlantica (in 1996)
6 The Lion King (Live Action) (in 2002)
7 Danger Mouse and the Toons of Tooniversity (in 1992)
8 Fantasia's Musicana (in 1983)
9 Mickey to the Rescue (in 2006)
10 Mickey and Bugs Together in Action (in 2001)

I'm glad they didn't do a sequel to Dumbo, it ended perfectly and no sequel could ever match the first.
I do wish they would have done the Serch fo Mickey Mouse, now that sounds like that would have been a wonderful film.
Note 3, I think I'm the only one who enjoyed The Sword in the Sone and even knows what it is, so any character from that movie to make into another movie would be useless.

This is my list of Disney movies that I think should be made:
1 Andrew Lloyd Webber's Starlight Express
2 Sky Rockers (featuring Michael Jackson and Mickey Mouse)
3 Steven Sondheim's Into the Woods
4 Gummi Bears the Movie
5 Marina Queen of Atlantica
6 Roger Rabbit Crusade of the Valients
7 The Muppets High Flying Adventure
8 Muppet Peter Pan

You know the Disney character who will never come back, ever? Answer: Snow White! Thats the most important part of the secret of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs! Someday well need to make that princess come. Someday well have to meet again. Off to the Disney castle well have to go, where we will have to be happy TOGETHER, okay?

As a huge fan of The Wizard of Oz, I would have wanted to see The Rainbow Road to Oz, Disney's (first) take on the Oz books. It was planned to star the Mouseketeers in the '50s. They even previewed a couple of songs on Disneyland's fourth anniversary episode. But it never got much further than that, sadly.

It'll be great to make a dumper movie because how about you know who's her dad because it can't be possible she has just her mom because she's an orphan probably because her dad got sold to another circus part because because all I think they are we had enough elephants

The Princess Academy would have made NO sense. Most of the princesses are from different parts of the world, are different ages, and from different times. Hell, a lot of the Disney Princesses weren't princesses at all, and Disney got a ton of the ages wrong anyway.

curious about seeing ducktales, disney princess academy, the search for mickey mouse, & hiawatha in the form of a movie. would be curious/interseted in seeing kingdom hearts series in the form of actual movies rather then a bunch of games.

Wouldve liked more info on Bambis Children, because we got Bambi II. That was more of a midquel than a true sequel, but unless Bambis Children was a third project, it technically wouldve evolved into another one.
reply

remember how in Sleeping Beauty, King Stefan and King Hubert had dreams that Princess Aurora and Prince Philip's marriage would unite their kingdoms? Sadly, those dreams never came true because a sequel was never made

Shooting stars to wish one is real not fake okay and I will go crazy okay I need the star so I could get a rainbow rock that you could wish things for real and it shines when you wish it and its called a wishing rock

Where the Wild Things Are is an example to this. They used CGI background and traditionally animated characters. Unfortunately, it was starting to become too expensive, so they dropped it.

So. Let me get this straight. The Ducktales movie, that came out in summer 1990, cancelled plans for a Darkwing Duck movie, which, the show came out in September 91? . Okay then.
reply

So we didn't get to see a Yellow Submarine movie with Cary Elwes as George Harrison because of that dumpster fire Mars Needs Moms? Damn it to hell! That would have been awesome to see.
reply

I know a Disney movie that should have been made, Sky Rockers in 1993 staring Michael Jackson and Mickey Mouse. In fact that would be a follow up to Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Treasure of the Lost Lamp did poorly, the Darkwing Duck movie was cancelled, but the movie based on Goof Troop (A Goofy Movie) did well enough to get a sequel?
reply

10: 06 - Since The Three Muskateers had th titular heroes AND their leader, why couldn't they have Horace Horsecollar in THAT role?
Or in the movie at all?

hunchback 2
hercules 2

reply

Treasure Planet 2
It could have been either bad, decent, or just ok tbh. I doubt better then the original though. Sounded cool.

reply

It would be nice for the Gremlins to appear since after all they havent appeared and never came back to media after Epic Mickey
reply

Apparently, around 1947, Disney had a movie of the Railway Series I the works with the working title Adventures of Thomas.
reply

Soooo DIsney. about that Search for Mickey Mouse. when are you going to make it again slides them a dollar
reply

I wouldn't mind a theaterical movie of Darkwing Duck. if they try to bring back all the remaining voice cast.
reply

Wow amazing the first one has to come true IT JUST HAS TO COME TRUE I WANT THAT ONE WE deserve that movie
reply

If Hiawatha had been made and released, it probably would have ended up like Song of the South by now.
