Anyone else realise how riverdale is just literally a reiteration of gossip girl, mixing the characters together?
Archie is Nate in season 1, doesn't know his direction, hunk, plays a sport, wants to break out of what was readily put before him.
Fred Andrews is Rufus, washed up band member, wife not officially separated but lives far away, had a relationship with Lily(Hermione) in their youth but Lily(Hermione) chose the rich kid
Hiram is Mr Archibald, rich businessmen, both arrested FOR FRAUD AND EMBEZZLEMENT and both lost all of their money.
Cheryl is Blair, mean girl, seemingly perfect but has serious mom issues(also half of Betty with the mom issues) and her 'minions that aren't really her friends.
Veronica is Serena, because everything seems to come to her(shown in the first episode when she walked in and Archie was immediately attracted to her rather than Betty(Blair) who had been trying to get with him for years.
The closet scene is literally the Shepherd wedding scene between Nate(Archie) and Serena(Veronica) violating Blairs(Betty's) trust
Jughead is Dan, the outsider(literally shown in that scene at Pop's where he regards himself as an observer, not an actual person, a writer, deadbeat dad, poor.
This show is so unoriginal, all they did was take the plotline of Gossip girl, mix up a couple of the characters with each other and add a murder and you've got the show.

Guys, Stop talking about whether Riverdale is a CW show or a Netflix show, it won't effect your life in any way. Netflix co-produced Riverdale with The CW so ity is a really easy mistake to make. Anyway get on with your lies instead of getting triggered over which network riverdale is on, :.

Hey Everyone! For those of you asking, although Riverdale is broadcast on the CW in the USA - it's technically considered a Netflix original since they acquired the exclusive international broadcast rights. CW, Netflix, let's just agree that we NEED a Riverdale season 2 ASAP! Cheers!

I've read some of the comics (BTW would love to actually sit down and read them) and I do agree they put the characters in a smoke hot bodys but the original characters from the comics in my opinion we're cute and adorable not hot but adorable

I can't understand why people like this show. It's horribly cheesy, and not in the good way, the acting is TERRIBLE and the over-dramatic plot is completely cringe-worthy! Am I the only one who feels this way?
