Nick Robinson went hands on with four hours of Watch Dogs 2's open world, and wound up liking it a lot more than he expected! Hey! Nick here. If you have any questions about what I played, feel free to leave them down here in the comments, and Ill do my best to reply to each one! I obviously didnt see everything there is to see in the game, as its huge, but 4 hours is enough to at least give me a pretty good sense of how the game feels, the overall structure, etc. Fire away! -Nick\r\n

I had exactly 0 interest in the first Watch Dogs, but wowzers this one. I know you mentioned that hacking things is promoted in the game, but did it ever put you in a position where you felt like you had no choice but to go a more traditional run and gun route? Or did the missions come across as very free in how you approach them?

How homicidal do you have to be? I love the hollywood hacking of the series but I'm not so hot on gunplay, so Aiden's willingness to just murder whoever really threw me off W_D. If I can just be a carefree goofy hacker kid in this without being forced to rack up a body count, I am so there.

Two questions! How's the driving? The first one's driving was atrocious, so i can't imagine they didn't at least try to fix it. Second, and you might not be able to answer this, but are they gonna clean up that running animation? it looks really weird and robotic.

Hi Nick! Are there many ways to non-lethally incapacitate enemies during combat/stealth? How many minimum wage guards can I let go home to their virtual kids? After I'm done launching cars with proximity mines on them, of course!

sorry this game needs more action, cars flipping over, stuff blowing up, cars blowing up, buildings blowing up. Game characters have to be in the action. I don't see how hacking can become a fun/entertaining video game.

The main characters design is the only real thing, i dont like. Aidens design was great, specially his bad ass coat. I dont wanna play a hipster

Is there a drastically different writing/design team or something? How did they go from such a lackluster original to a very promising sequel?
reply

Hey, nick. Has the music been as good in game as it has been in the trailers and e3 demos and stuff? I trust your opinion on dem bangin tunes.

why do people gotta bash aiden pierce. i love him as a character. and hes hacking team was badass. and i liked the story.

Seems too good to be true. Specially after the first one, it was literally so bad and misleading I can't trust paid reviewers: (

I'm really excited to hear (and see) that this game is fun. Sounds like they really found the hook the second time around.

How does the shooting/gunplay feel, despite being encouraged to try other things besides shooting everyone?
reply

I liked the first game, except for the horrible driving. I didn't finish the game because the driving was so bad.

How much of SF/Bay area is in the game? There was that brief look of -Nudle- which I assume isn't in the city

Damn you don't fall when you hop on the car while moving. Physics. Or might be a shoe with a glue.
