what i love about this show is that every article referencing it here (in Toronto) is talking about how it's an amazing representation of our city and something never really seen before?
the best part about the over-arching plot, by the way, is the Rivoli isn't one of those -godly- venues for artists to perform at, its basically a few steps up from playing a dive bar

I mean, I appreciate this show existing and doing what it does, which is cool and all. But, I've seen this type of comedy elsewhere, personally. Mostly on Adult Swim. Though, I could be wrong and this might be something special when I check it out later. Now, if polygon recommended -Desus and Mero- on their next video, now we are getting somewhere.

I started watching a couple weeks ago after Nick started tweeting up a storm lol. I don't think I've ever watched a show where I so immediately knew I was going to love the characters. Like, in the first episode where they're watching Jurassic Park and Matt's yelling about Sam Jackson's character? Instantly in love. 10/10 recommendation, Nick: D

For those who enjoy this show are gonna like Matt Johnson's comedy-thriller -Operation Avalanche, - where 2 CIA agents, while infiltrating NASA in search of a Soviet mole, entangle themselves in the plot to fake the Moon landing. Definitely one of the best period films to come out in recent years.

This style of comedy is great, but it's already kind of a thing. To name a few off the top of my head, there's Borat, Bruno, Bad Grandpa, and Look who's Back! Granted, they aren't shows, but I just felt like pointing this out for anyone who's a fan of this semi-scripted public improv stuff.
reply

So, is it like Borat but not the absolute worst thing ever? Because Borat tried to play with the idea of improvising a character around real people but the problem was Sasha Baron Cohen (spelling) is not funny at all in the slightest whatsoever but these guys seem really funny and cool.

I just discovered the show a few days ago and I love it definitely one of the most original ideas for a comedy to blend scripted parts with improve along with reality type television with all the extras who have no idea they are even involved in the scene

Hopefully addressed in some degree in the extended version of the interview: how did they pull off the hostage situation in the season finale? How many people actually knew what was going on?
Surely the police, at least? Right?

Haven't seen this yet, but if you like this you might like another Canadian show: Kenny vs. Spenny.
Between these shows and Nathan Fielder's stuff, Canadians are great at reality-tinged cringe humor.

I hope this show does not disappear into obscurity because of VICELAND's payment model. I happily bought the series for $20 but i am only the second person to hit the like button on those videos T__T

You have no idea how happy it makes me to see this video and the interview in my sub box, since you tweeted about them weeks ago and got me obsessed.

I can't put my finger on the reason why, but I always want to recommend to fans of Nathan For You that they try Review With Forrest MacNeil.

It sounds like what My Brother My Brother and Me would have been if those boys could like. talk to people
reply

makes sense he'd like this since there something Car Boys-y in the improv/scripted nature of the show
