Welcome, fellow aesthetes, to yet another seminal and ground-breaking installment of Video Game Theatre. Thine eyes do not deceive thee! On this dreadfully dreary day, allow us a brief vestige outside the fog as we pay homage to a mainstay of classic horror thespianism. Notice how the desultory, yet wistful demeanor of these personages contrasts with the sepulchral ambience of the scene. Breathe it in. Let it fill your lungs and course through your veins as the caliginous mystique steams the chambers of your soul. Am I lost, you ask. Perhaps, in the end, we all are. Thank you. Kindly

Weirdly, attaching real faces to this instead of the jerky 3D models they actually had. makes the voices seem more natural? It's obviously still stilted and weird, but in a like. 'these characters are wrestling with some shit behind the scenes and speaking slowly and haltingly because of it'.

I was going to say that this is the highlight of my week, but I can't choose between SEO play, Awful Squad, Yellface, The Polygon Show and this. It definitely was very excellent though!

Iactually love the voice acting in Silent HIll 2, it makes it feel like an poorly acted but unexpectedly good movie you found lost in a video store

I love the visual gag at the end where they straighten up as though it wasn't a camera angle throughout the video, they were just leaning the whole time.

I never get tired of the cutscenes in this game either. Especially Angela's last appearance. It makes me want to cry my eyes out every time.

-No, I believe you. it's just. I guess I really don't care [. ]-
And that's how my last relationship ended.

Jedi Knight Academy has some terrific cutscene performances, if you're looking for something from a more civilized era.
