These AC games look really cool. but it's just a shame they have to release so many of these. The magic gets lost imo. There isn't that attention to detail and love for the product I see with other games. Massive re-use of existing work just re-worked. It's all the subtle things they decided they didn't have time for. Really focused on getting these blockbusters out and getting that money. not so focused on creating a piece of art. Walking over a cloth and it has a brick sound effect, and stays frozen. the combat where you snap someones neck and then still move your knife through the body, someone is on the ground and you still have to slash them 3 times with your sword instead of a finishing move that thrusts a sword down his chest. All these small things you'd expect to see from this gen ubisoft games. seeing that beach full of soldiers and everyone is in pairs having a 'fake' fight. and you just run through and do some hack and slashing, yea not for me. Check out Ryse: Son of Rome. A game produced in 2013, but the combat has just so much love, you'll see what I mean. how this assassin climbed and moved around, you'd think it would do efficient combat, that combined with a compelling story and journey through these gorgeous lands, would be a buy for me.

It just lacks the flow in combat, in all the assassins creeds before origins, my eyes watered because of how cool and skilled the combat looked. But in this game it-s like one hit and the assassin doesn-t go with the way momentum goes, he almost hits them and resets his position before he hits them again, it-s just too clunky for me. The combat was the big selling point for me in the old games and it-s not there anymore. Next month will be bitter sweet for me as I will be happy playing the new red dead but I will be sad that my favourite game series has died for me. Man I really hope Ubisoft changes the combat system back to the way it was.

I am completely on board with the idea that they should not release one every year, however I loved Origins in every way. Ancient Egypt has always been an amazing time period and it was incredible to explore that world. This honestly looks amazing, but will reserve judgement for when it comes out.

This is now an action game with minor assassin/stealth features which to me is kind of sad. Even though I loved Origins and I know I will thoroughly enjoy Odyssey I still yearn for some of the older, iconic gameplay mechanics.

But from the looks of this, it looks so easy that I'm gonna get bored and end up regretting the high price tag.
