Dog Finds An Injured Parrot And They Become Best Friends Incredibly irresponsible parrot owners. Ugh. And then sensationalized like this on this platform. Its so misleading about proper parrot care. Hopefully after losing him the first time theyll consider not leaving a fully flighted bird outside. Its clearly tame and not wild. Leaving it outside even in a cage is dangerous. Hes just a sitting duck for predators. And then the lack of supervision between the pets I just wanna see what happens. Not everyone should be a parrot owner.

These Australian Galahs are such quirky birds. I have some wild ones that come and feed on seed and fresh water in my yard. They watch me put it out for them and will fly down from the fence and wander around the yard behind me. My little chihuahua never chases any of the various birds that come into our yard. So none are scared of her or me. I feel privileged to be trusted by them. Milo and Cracker are so beautiful together, what a special bond Thank you for sharing.

I was sitting outside at a friends house one day and her golden retriever came over with very puffy cheeks. She admonished him to spit out that baby pigeon, which he did, and the birdie shook herself off and went back to snuggle with the Golden. Apparently it was an all day activity.

If I was a bird, I wouldn’t want to leave either. He’s happy & if you all make him happy then it’s great. It can be a harsh environment living in Australia for our wildlife. If they choose where they want to be, then who are we to choose that they shouldn’t be with us.

I might be sus on this one, because there's something off then a woman records dog just finding a bird and just like that they have a big cage outside, just right for the parrot.
The friendship is still cute tho, even without this background story I'm sus about.

Ok, so wait a sec. U wanted da bird to be free, he gets better & he flys away then somebody catches it, & ya go get it & keep it again. Cute story n all that but did I miss something Good doggie btw.

This is truly one of the best things I have seen in a long time. Genuine & deep love is what we are witnessing. So magnificent to see, in whatever form it comes in.
reply

Amazing!
All day everyday we’re hit with reality and how brutal it all is then you see this video and your heart heals a little. Just a little.

I feel like this is made up. Why would that bird just be out and about. Someone owned that bird, and just forgot about it. Fake story.
reply

So sweet. But why did he fly away
They have such an amazing bond. I don't know why he would leave. I'd be worried he'll do it again.

My mother in law had a parrot that was attracted to my chocolate lab. He would do mating dances on the floor trying to impress her.
reply

Crazy how a wild parrot took to being domesticated so quickly like that. Maybe it was someone else's bird that had gotten lost.
reply

Actually we had a bird that flew away and came back a few weeks later. Didn’t expect it at all.

Parrots are monogamous animals. When they bond they bond for life. They don't go off to look for another.
reply

I call bs you found a burd randomly but just happened to have a cage ready to use okay sure thing
reply

You’re one of those white people who walk thier dog off leash in high populated areas huh
reply

He didn't fly away intentionally. He was frightened by the birds flying by him.
reply

So happy that Milo & Cracker were reunited you have to love animals they don't know hate
reply

I've never seen that kind of parrot with that pink coloring before. What kind is it
reply

So she won’t allow the poor bird to be free How is this a good story
reply

I wish us humans could live like this in peace with a smile on our faces
reply

Beautiful story but you should always release them where you found them
reply

Wut Thats craziest thing I've seen for ages! Absolutely brilliant
reply

Darn it! My allergies acting up again after watching this video
reply

He could not stop smiling, sure. The dog was just salivating.
reply

If these two animals can find peace so can Israelis and Palestinians.
reply

2 animals who needed companionship who bonded to each other
reply

We humans could learn from such a simple uncomplicated friendship.
reply

Goes to show its better yo post the losy bird instead of steal it
reply

You can’t let those two get separated. They belong together.
reply

Even birds of very different feather sometimes flock together
reply

Love watching these 2 on IG! Always brings a smile to my face.
reply

What a pair they see no difference. We can learn from them.
reply

Now, if only we could do this with our fellow man.
reply

So you no longer want the bird to be free Fair enough.
