Uh, Yeah, Those Effen Vets will put him to sleep. That's All they will Do. Unless someone is paying them MONEY. Just like Human Doctors they have proven to generally Not be Compassionate, ironically. Those kids Are Naive, And whomever Adult sent them to the Vet is an Apathetic jag. A wildlife Rehabilitation Center would have been the thing, Or keep and nurse it themselves Until spring and release Or just take it as a sign And keep it as a fun, quirky Pet.

Kind of a half-hearted attempt at saving that squirrel. He was lucky not to freeze to death. ME= I would've immediately keister stashed him. : It's literally the fastest you could've warmed him up and, among me and some of my friends, the only place you should ever be putting a squirrel- though you might want to start out with smaller rodents until you build up to that. I guess these kids just didn't care enough. ;-(

Chances are that squirrel was cared for by a person and left out in the cold. Abandoned more likely. He/she was far to calm around the kids. A wild squirrel would not have just willy nilly let them touch it. It wasn't scared, freaked out or anything of the sort. That poor baby was raised by a person, released and had no idea what to do in the wild. Good job kids

Aww, the squirrel trusts them. I tried to rescue a baby squirrel but wildlife services just made me leave it where I found it. I regret calling them. I'm hoping someone picked it up (people were watching) because I went back after the officer left and couldn't find him. Either that or he got immediately picked off by a cat or hawk.

These wonderful young people give me hope for the future, the care and attention over an insignificant squirrel, their respect for life, the need to get it to a place of safety, yes, these are fine young people, I feel the future is safe with people like this.

I can't count how many times I've stopped kids from throwing sticks at birds and squirrels, kicking at them, terrorizing them even adults, throwing anything they can. Psychopathic generation coming up. Raised by psychopathic parents.

I’m amazed that in these times of political correctness where everything seems to offend someone the term spazzy’ is used so openly and freely without fear of offence or insult! People obviously have no idea of this word’s origin.

And some kids would have killed it or done nothing at all. You can always tell what the parents are like by the actions of their children. Nice parenting and GREAT JOB KIDS!
