Feral Senior Cat Becomes A Total Mama's Boy - MR. BELVEDERE What a beautiful cat. I love feral cats. They are so happy when they adjust to having a loving home! Mine run to me when I call. Some jerk dumped 4 kittens behind McDonalds. I was told they had been living back there for a couple years. I started to feed them every single day. They would literally be waiting for me. I couldnt pet them but I talked to them. One started running to my truck and I decided I was bringing him home. I would find homes for the others. It took time. I finally trapped my cat, Winston. He is my boy! I adore him and he loves me so much, too. I caught the others and ended up keeping one more. She is a tough one. Lol. She will finally sit by me. She is starting to love me, too. The other two were easier to tame. Churus treats and wand toys help a lot in taming feral cats. Patience and love make a difference. They all have indoor homes now and are happy and safe.

This story is a religious experience to me. I also have a 13 year old FIV positive cat who lived a horrible life before I adopted her. She is SO special and makes me feel warm and fuzzy everytime I interact with her. Both of us are greatful we found each other. She will live out her life with me! Thank you for the story of Mr. Belvedere.

Jenna and the woman who rescued Mr B. to give him a second chance are amazing and beautiful souls. It brings back faith in humanity at times when we see such sadness in this world. The benevolence, kindness and willingness to give Mr B. a fighting chance is remarkable. Thank you to all of you who helped him. He most certainly deserved it.

i adopted a 5 year old FIV cat a little over 2 years ago. Despite her congestion issues, she's so full of energy, sass, and personality! FIV cats are just like normal ones, including in lifespan, and I hope that someday it can be easier for them to get homes as well.

I hates Vets - had a cat they said had HIV, they wanted to put him down on the spot and pressured me. I took him home a nd he live a full life for another 16yrs. F these GD vets! They are part of the problem! just like human medicine - its a racket.

Mr. B was so lucky to have met two such WONDERFUL human friends! Senior pets are the way to go. We adopted a senior kitty, Chester, at 13 and he is turning 18 this month and don't tell our other cats this, but he is our favorite. Sweet as pie. Sweeter.

I have a cat and a dog. Both are with dad only always. I'm their litter box cleaner, groomer and person who cook's for them. But all love is for dad only. it's very hurting because I'm their human mama.

F. IV. is NOT a death sentence for cats. I adopted a cat with F. I. V. and fed him a very healthy wet food with no by-products, etc. He lived a long happy life. well into his upper teens.

imagine 10 years with no love and getting that overload of affection in just a few weeks not knowing how to react except to just give in and enjoy the rest of your life. amazin

I also rescued my cat off the streets, he also is FIV positive and 11 years old. He lives every day in retirement to the fullest. Old and sick kitties need love too.

Stripy ones are the best. I miss my Chubsty. He went from full of anxiety to sooo laid back and relaxed and then he has a stroke and was gone. Bye Bye Mr Chubb

OMG it looks like my tiger that I am taking care of. he is a ferral cat and lives in my neighborhood. We believe he is the stud of all the cats in our area.

Cats are horrible, insensitive, aggressive animals that never bond and make lousy pets. Not. They are amazing animals that make the best pets.

Had an old black colony cat show up at my door 5 years ago. Named him Midnight, fed him, loved him and he's still here, goes in and out

I only wish that there were more beautiful loving people in the world like yourself. So great to see his transformation

FIV is not a death sentence. It is like having HIV. My adopted black feral lived 10 yrs with FIV. Michael. He stole my heart.
reply

FIV is not a death sentence so don't let your vets tell you that and it's only transmitted through a severe bite wounds

There are going to be a lot of very upset white women when they realise that cats are not children.

I love my cat. He's woken me up at 430am every single night for the past 11 years. That's alright.

White women care more about animals to stroke their ego, than care for other fellow human beings

Went from life expectancy: 6 to 8 yrs old to 11 to maybe even 18 years old.

It's not rare for cats to live over 20 years, and in some rare cases, over 30.

Thank you for your patience. I think Toms have much less trust of strangers.

If that cat can talk the stories he'd tell to the lady that adopted him
