Says your new dog will likely feel overwhelmed for the first three days, will settle in and feel more comfortable in your home by the end of three weeks, and after three months will be feeling secure in her new home.
I use to rescue pits. Like
Really rescue and rehome and foster. Used all my own money and went seriously broke ass.
But the point is if people just relax and use that 3 3 3 as a guide it would stop a lot of returns.
I mean a lot will take more time.
And some dogs just don’t mix with some people.
Momma took 8 months for her and Monkey to stop fighting. They ended best friends even looking for each other at bed time: Others I just could not reach so I handed them off to another rescue.
I believe nearly every dog can be adjusted to live a normal life. Some my need special rules like being the only pet.
Like at mike Vic’s dogs, all but one found a home. I believe the last one had to stay with one of the trainers .
Oh and I kept up to 8 for my personal not to Rehome pack.
Such as momma and monkey.
I love to hear about people who know and give the time needed for these most precious of all animals to be near man’s side.
