If you have an animal you can no longer care for, you have options. Virtually every town in the US has a local, no kill shelter that allows you to anonymously drop off a pup, no questions asked. Please, if you must, if you have no choice, hop on the internet and research the best rescue organization in your area and bring your dog there. Anything is better than waiting too long or just dumping them somewhere horrendous.

For those of us who would be very grateful to be able to have a pet, but can't afford it, even though we would dearly love the pet, it makes me angry that there are people who would choose to treat such wonderful creatures as trash. If you don't have the love, time, money & energy for a pet, don't get one. Animals deserve better, much better.

The US seems to have some real problems with dogs in terrible situations.
Surely dog ownership laws should be stricter
I work in animal rescue in the UK. Only ever dealt with abandoned cats/strays, never seen a stray dog. Guess that's because microchipping cats/dogs is mandatory by law in the UK.

She was almost gone. There was just about no life left in her eyes. May those who did this to her get it back multi-multi-multi fold. There is truly no excuse on earth that justifies doing this to a living being. Best wishes on your new life, precious girl and I hope you and the kitty become BFFs!

Crying tears of joy! Unbelievable that she was abandoned in that manner; poor baby. But so happy she was found and rescued and living the life she so rightly deserves. She’s beautiful, and so are her rescuers and her forever family. Another awesome video from the Dodo.

Thank you so so much to the good Samaritan for helping this poor abused angel! Thank you to the ones who rescued her! I have faith in humanity. We should do the RIGHT thing whether it's saving a turtle in the middle of the road or a puppy or kitty that has been dumped!

Stray Rescue of St Louis are an amazing organisation ran by an amazing Team. Sadly there are other rescues as heart-rendering as this one. But where there is life, they will try. Thank you so much.

Seeing her in the beginning, made me cry. I don't cry very often, but her eyes broke me. Thrilled at the happy ending. I wish this for every horrible case of abuse whether it's a child, or animals. I also pray that the perpetrators get karma 10. X.

In a system where people are downplaying mental illness on the side of pp living one paycheck away from being homeless children and animals face horrible psychological abuse.
